Active disavowing

I go through phases of disavowing every Monday morning, to not disavowing for half a year or more at a time.

I don't know that it makes any difference whatsoever, but it make me feel like I am doing actual work, so I keep doing it for the peace of mind.

i used to disavow.. never noticed any differernce.. removed disavow file.. still no difference.

I sometimes have problems understanding what links are good and what links are bad...
can a ''spam link'' with bigger PA or DA be ok to keep?

I think you need to do backlinks review two times per year. And disavowing could really benefit the website.

Sure, why couldn't it?
Until it doesn't.
And Google says there are no more "negative SEO" links, and that they simply do not count them any longer....
But I think that is bullshit, like much of what Google tells the peasants.
If it looks questionable, I get rid of it.
Does it work?

Ah, I wouldn't know.

I don't track that and in years past, when I would look, AFAIK, none of them were ever removed from GSC. Maybe they were and the lag was just so large I never noticed...?

In any case, I always assumed disavows were internally counted, not externally modifying any of one's GA/GSC data.
