The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has taken action against five offshore gambling websites operating illegally in Australia, ordering internet service providers to block access to these sites in accordance with the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, emphasizing that Australian laws won't protect players who use such unauthorized platforms and highlighting its ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal offshore gambling, with a total of 835 websites blocked and 215 services exited from the Australian market since 2017.
