I recently discovered a website that has scraped and cloned my website. I noticed this website linking to Gangster casino (yes, this is the actual name of one of their casinos), so naturally, I reached out to the affiliate manager on Teams (Alexandra V).
Now, you'd expect a reputable affiliate program to respond that they will look into the matter and escalate if necessary. But no, this aff manager had no intention of doing any of that and instead complained about how this is not "her" affiliate, that she's in labour and whatnot. Yapping a bunch of meaningless stuff that is of absolutely no help to me in other words.
Instead, I reached out to another one of their aff managers on Telegram, someone called "Dimitriy", who basically replied with a I don't give a s**t comment: "what do you expect me to do".
It very quickly became obvious to me what sort of program and people I was dealing with and basically let them know they were a bunch of unprofessional clowns. The program itself seems to be some non-EU Eastern European group, make of that what you will.
This resulted in Dimitriy becoming mr machoman himself, trying to call me x number of times on Telegram, threatening me by saying "Someday I'll meet you on some conference and you gonna tell me who is clown" (even though I did not call him a clown, but his coworker).
After that, guess what, they cancelled my commission withdrawal, which they appeared to have no intention of paying me anyway since it had just been sitting there, and closed my accounts. I bet the scammer affiliate still works with them, though.
Are these the kind of affiliate programs we want in our industry? Up to the readers to decide. Would love for them to come on here and try to bs their way out of it. And yes, I have saved the screenshots.
What are you going to do Dimitriy, are you going to use violence against me or any other affiliate who forwards a complaint against your shitty aff program? Why are you working with shady blackhat scam affiliates? We'd love to get some answers.
