So as an update, I'm now 2 months into my new site. I've got 4 depositors, 2 of which are what I'd call 'active'. Sadly they both tend to bet low and seem to get it right far more than they do wrong! Maybe it'll change, but I guess that's the value of sports betters against say casino players. I'm finding my best results are coming from running articles on upcoming sports events, but still want to figure out the best drivers to the casinos.
Taking hope from the fact that I'm still simply organic. Running adverts on Twitter was just horrendous, even with some very specific targeting. Still no joy at all from Facebook in regards to advertising because they keep asking for more and more stuff from me. It's painfully obvious that I'm legal in the UK but they seem to enjoy making me jump through hoops.
Anyway, I hope you guys are having a little more luck than me. I'm starting work on my second site next week, which is an incredibly niche thing so I'm staying optimistic that things will pick up from September....
Mobile: Needs Work 72/100.
From my own experience. New site must be in "green area" on this tool.
Google don't give your good positions if your site mobile unfriendly.
Old, trusty sites have right for mistake - mobile unfriendky or slow load. But new sites must follow all google guidlines. Load speed - as quick as possible. Mobile friendly - as good as possible. 72/100 - this is low.
In all honesty I'm not very technical at all, hence the reason I used WP to build it. I need to sit down and work out HOW I actually do the various bits of compression to achieve the better speeds!
I would say you are doing well. despite the mobile 'hit' by Google, if you have gotten a few signups - that's great! even sports players lose. What I see happen is they win, win, win, then bet bigger and lose. After that, they spend time chasing those wins. They love the chase and keep betting. It's pretty common, IMO.
