tobbe, thanks for sharing this review - thats one heck of a negative review Matthew wrote there, lol :)... However, to be honest, I had mostly positive experiences with them till now... Regarding using bare-boned VPS hosting, I think it depends on your priorities - there's no argue that VPS...

Never tried them but heard some good stuff about them as well... If referring to managed WP hosts I would recommend WP-Engine which is awesome too.
