The only way this can be done is through auditing. The auditing party should be agreed upon as well as the scope and frequency of the audit. The audits will need to cover a review of all policies that effect the affiliates commissions and a way of then checking that check policy is implemented. Like any business, there are privacy issues that must be considered but auditing is built for the task.

Hi Lloyd,

Per your suggestion. Will affiliate Cruise agree to be audited on a regular basis if affiliates nominate an auditing firm? Looks like your program is pretty transparent, hopefully it will set an example for other programs to follow.

Bet365 have recently been found out with a mistake on there moible downloads, they found that affilates weren't getting commissions if the click through downloaded the app. The data is never accurate for me with most my affiliates anyway.

It's getting to the point these days, where having a couple of tester players isn't being overly paranoid, it's being wise, shrewd and warranted. Think I'll be hunting around for some. Throw up a test link and see if it tracks... Then decide if I'll promote the casino, based on the data.

Yes I have always used testers, but we missed this as it was very specific to mobile, to be fair I would not of known about it had they not told me. We have seen a significant increase in sign ups since they fixed it though so it was a large scale problem.

I've used "testers" after I think I've been scammed, not before to actually validate a program, before promoting.

they still send tons of emails out to move players

Lets look at a scenario...
  1. Affiliate refers player to casino A and player signs up;
  2. Rewards sends this same-player promos to their other casinos;
  3. The referring affiliate's tag is drop from these promo links.
Is that what your saying?

Reiterating I thought ALL that was cleaned up?

Ok since the accounts were old I don't know if they are tagged or not.. If so they would have been tagged to me which is prob not allowed.
So I am having someone do a clean test and we will know what happens. As it could have been cleaned up. (Don't want to start up something if I am wrong on this)

From what I understand untagged get lots of emails still

Hi Otto, yes, I think this would be possible but we would need to discuss in detail before finalising anything.

I agree with Bonustreak about meeting in London :)

If you guys are doing tests, first confirm how the operator manages their cookies.

Many thanks!

I'd like to think that the ball is rolling albeit slowly.

I think it will work only if you can get few highroller as testers. I think many programs untag only players above certain deposits - more money and lower risk getting caught. I doubt sending few low players will do the job.

I would like more programs to show a lot more data. Sign up date, country, mobile or desktop, games played (table or slots), bonuses, progressives, last day played, purchases, wagers, win/loss and personally I would even like to know the age of the player. All helps in trust and marketing

I estimate I've had @ least 2 HR's stolen in the last 12 months from one program alone. I'm going to ask one of my Aussie mates to test it. $3K for a month's play seems like a good investment. Given the amount already stolen.

Do you know what country your HR's were from?

Australia - all my players are either Aussie or Kiwi; both countries have BIG gamblers.

That would be great, wouldn't it!
I can't think of ANY affy programs who give ALL those details. :confused:

That is one thing I like about the Rival back-end - you do see Sign up date, country, last day played, purchases, win/loss and age of the player.
They DID used to give the first name and second initial of the players too (e.g. MarkW) - but they dropped that in favour of a player number about 5 years ago :(

Microgaming backend also used to give First name Last initial. That was around 2006-2008. I have a list of my high rollers from the BS casinos. They changed that to a number also :( I cross-referenced the number later, but only after they disappeared due to US market closure and only to make sure they were US players that left.
