Louisiana governor recently signed one of two sports betting bills (HB 697) for consideration in the state. The Senate must review the bill SB 247 with the amendments made before it can reach the governor's desk.
If the governor signs the two measures, the next move is for the Gaming Control Board to create the rules for the industry.

I spoke to some people from Louisiana just the other day. They were fired up for this sports betting stuff.

I then told them I think it will lead to worse deals and treatment than they get at the offshore bookies and they were surprised to hear the reasoning, then 2 of them told me they wouldn't have voted for it had they considered it that way lol!
