Hi all,

Can you guys tell me which type of marketing you are using for the casino affiliate? Like for example Google Ads / PPC?

Thanks will be greatly appreciated since I am a newbie

KasinoKing

Player turned affiliate.
I don't use either.
Unless you have VERY deep pockets (and you may also need to be specially licenced?), you won't be able too advertise on Google.

I just use good content & blind luck. But then I am a tiny affiliate in the grand scheme of things - maybe some of the "big boys" here can give you better advice...

Paid advertising is probably not the best route for a newbie.

Yes, that is the best route for someone new to the industry. Be aware that it takes a lot of time, research and patience.

Paid advertising will likely yield much quicker results.. but its competitive and pricey.
In some cases, you would be competing for ads with casinos that have large ad budgets.

I'm surprised that you'd need to ask such a question, chris, given, you've been running ladybird-casino.com since 2014. Username - First name Dot Surname. Out of 99.999% (spammers) 0.0001% are likely genuine. But, and reiterating... We've been inundated with spammer bots all using First Name Dot Surname...just sayin.

That was a genuine question are you seeing any promotion or link building? Do not judge I bought the domain a while back ago 2014 but I didn't use it for some time, now I am interested to push it again, what's the problem?

Nothing wrong with asking Chris.
We are trying google & facebook ads on a niche group.
If you don't have a niche group, I wouldn't recommend it.

I think your Ladybird website looks really nice, congrats!

If you are a newbie it all stems down the budget. Do you have any?

Because if you are going to pick up online marketing you could teach yourself any traffic generating method.

If you have a big budget; go for SEO. If you have an even larger budget; go for Blackhat Adwords/Facebook.

If you have a moderate budget; go for a combo of Whatsapp, Facebook & email.

If you have zero budget; ask grandma for a loan.

if you have a affiliate casino license - or some other way of getting adwords to approve you, I would start testing with adwords. In the long run KasinoKing is right, you need deep pockets. However, even with a smaller budget you can get a quick/fast sense of the casino keywords (generally long-tail) that can provide some value. And then you can begin fighting for them on SERP - but you need quality content.

PPC is about small margins and high volume.

You pay x for a click and you make money if (conversion rate * CPA) is a bit more than x. If you do not know what you're doing, you'll be burning quite some money in a short time. Also, you must be able to get good deals. It makes no sense spend € 30 at a click, convert 10% and get a CPA of € 100.

Organic growth is about lower volume, but higher margins. It could be a bit more volatile because of winning players, casinos ceasing operations or a downfall in SERPs.

In my opinion, it is two totally different things. Both are having advantages and disadvantages. If you're having no experience with PPC, I would start with SEO.

It is possible, but not allowed. You need to learn cloaking, which is art form in itself. I know people are making big bugs with blackhat ppc, but it is not easy.
We focus on good content and link building. It's not the quickest way, but longterm you can reap some benefits.

It boils down to time management, and the question if you are building for the long or the short term.

For Blackhat PPC, unless you already know how to do it, you will have to invest a lot of time that only adds up value only until you are blocked or there is policy change on the third party.
If you focus that same time in brand building, in creating a great product that people need (no what you need) then that time will add up value over time.
Eventually, with a good job done and a fair community running, you can start to experiment with ad networks.

IMO that's the way to go. Its not fancy, but long term value creation it is never fancy, just a good way to go business and industry wise. One that does not stimulates tormenting and interrupting audiences for a quick buck.

SEO/Social Media, maybe try youtube.

Just a quick note on Youtube - lately Youtube has been banning lots of gambling related channels as their terms of use is getting more and more strict. So just be careful with putting too much effort to youtube presence. Many big streamers moved to Twitch.tv and doing really well there.
