Lost Totesport customers & months of ignorance

I have an affiliate account with a small number of Totesport customers that were specifically referred to their casino a few years ago. I did not pay much attention to this account until I realized last year that all 9 of these players had been removed and were no longer tracked or displayed. This is when the odyssey started.

After multiple emails and reminders the players suddenly re-appeared but no activity was displayed whatsoever. Despite clear evidence that these customers already deposited and created revenue in the past, I was told that they had never been active.

As these customers were referred before Active Wins took over the Totesport affiliate program, I requested an overview of their accounts and most recent log-ins in order to verify some data. Eventually I was told that Totesport would contact me about this directly. However, many months and countless emails later I still did not receive any reply, despite promises and apologies by Active Wins.

As more and more weeks went by without any progress, I eventually received an answer from Active Wins and was offered a "compensation" for these customers. As it became obvious that these customers were lost and the required data could no longer be obtained, I decided to agree to this offer. This is when I was informed that the compensation would be £200, based on a £20 CPA for each of these players, as this "was the average CPA paid for all sportsbook players".

In my reply I explained that all of these customers were casino players, which were valued at £75 CPA by the Totesport partner programm at that time. However, they refused to honor this offer.

...

I have been hesitant to post about this issue in public as I used to have great trust in the Totesport brand and its affiliate program. However, my patience has been stretched over the maximum after I was offered this ridiculously small amount for 9 valuable customers that were based on a revenue share agreement.

This story is actually much longer but I will leave it as it is for now.

@Active Wins: I trust this issue will finally be resolved.

The problem is, and I'll say it again, everyone is being f#cked over, in some way, shape or form. As J.Todd says, to squeeze another $ etc., out of affiliates. Just needs one (1) CLASS ACTION, taken out against one(1) program, the rest will take notice, and STOP this theivery. However until that happens, these crooks willl continue their monus operandi.

@casinonewbie I had a trustworthy impression as well due to the reputation and establishment of the BetFred and Totesport brands. This endless story changed my mind though. Finding out that customers have been removed and later listed as "ghosts" without actual tracking is bad enough already. However, not even answering many emails, honoring promises and dragging the situation for more than half a year eventually became too much.

Concerning your question, they are based in England/ Wales.

@AussieDave I do not know the amount these players generated as I am unable to view their statistics. A £75 CPA for each of them would most likely be a bad cut, but I eventually decided to agree to a settlement as the amount of players is very small. There is no way I would accept £20 for each of them though, especially as they have not been sports bettors at all.

We discussed this in another thread already and you are right. I already lost plenty of time throughout this process but will further pursue this issue until it has been fairly resolved.

Sorry to hear about this, but far from surprised. Active Wins are the most inept affiliate program I have ever worked with. Every single thing they do is wrong, without fail. Betfred ran a perfectly fine program themselves before these clowns took over, I'm amazed they don't bring it back in house.

Anyway the point of the post is that a few months ago, Aussie Dave nearly got his wish. I am based in the UK and a while back they threatened to close my Tote account. I replied threatening legal action (it's called the Small Claims Track here Dave, and works in a similar way to the way you describe the Aussie system). I have some experience of the process and am pretty confident that the judge would find in my favour, since they would be in breach of contract. They relented immediately, indicating that they know very well that such action would be successful for the claimant.

If you are based in the UK then this is something you could consider as a way to get a fair compensation for your lost players.

I only signed up with the ActiveWins affiliate program as i had the need for another sportsbook, Betfred are obviously nuts to outsource their aff program to these jokers......Knowing all the details now i am going to pass on promoting them.

@Evil Homer Based on my own experience and after all these months, I am not surprised if other affiliates are going through similar stories.

It is a shame that this is happening with such a well-reputed bookie/ casino brand such as Totesport and Bet Fred.

Totally agree. I do like Betfred and Tote as brands and it's a real shame to see Active Wins ruin their reputation AND charge them for the privilege.

Probably one of JT's better videos as of late. I may have to start getting these auto-posted into AGD just to increase viewership.

ActiveWins really must be the Fawlty Towers of affiliate programs, when I first signed up with them they took about 2 weeks to approve the account WTF! This was probably the first big red flag to these clowns. Lucky for me i then I noticed this thread. They sent me an email asking where I was going to promote them, I sent them the link to this thread – funny enough they closed my account, LOL my big loss
