Hi

Just posting cos I can ;D

Its been a busy week, not done as much as I wanted, so will be doing lots of updates to my site over weekend I think, mind you the wife is taking me out overnight to a spa day, so should be interesting......

Also, I have just been approved for a GPWA Seal of Approval which is cool.

Anyways, have a good weekend to all.

Scot

Oh yeah, also, how long does it take for Virgin Affiliates to enable my account, its been nearly a week and not heard anything since signing up?

Hi Scot

When you apply Virgin states
Your application has been received and will be reviewed by our affiliate team within 24 hours (up to 72 hours for weekend applications).

I was approved by Virgin the day after I applied so I would chase it up if I were you

Why would anybody want to be approved by a company which happily promotes rogues?

I would be ashamed to have a GPWA seal on MY sites...

KK

I agree with you KK, sorry to rain on your parade ukpoker, I also took my seal off my site, the way I looked at it was..it was just taking space on my site, because GPWA dose nothing to protect the affiliate. IMO

I guess I'm a little confused. You take the seal down because "GPWA does nothing to protect the affiliate" but yet your Latest Casino Bonuses link goes straight to a page that has a big ole fat Cool Cat Casino banner (we all know why they are in the rogue pit) on it and the Online Sexy Slots link goes to a page that promotes Orangegamez Casino (which is in the rogue pit at CM for non-payment and no response).

How do you protect your players?

Hey hope you had fun on your spa day! Also congrats on the GPWA seal of approval!

Cheers!

Hi

Yeah the SPA day was lovely, spent all day going in and out of the hot and cold rooms and the jacuzzi, was lovely, did not realise that there were so many different type of sauna to choose from.. ;D

I would love a AGD cert on my site, but we don't have any here......

@Redbush54

Well that kinda is double standards, but each to there own, I am trying to only use sites that are aprroved here, I have a couple that are not, but that was me not being hot on it, but at the moment they have been good... so watching carefully.

Let's try not to bash GPWA here, please.

As far as 'Seals' go, they pretty much mean nothing IMO except that you give a link back to an organization for free. However - there is nothing wrong with them, IMO.

I understand the thought process in regards to sponsorships, but there are cases where they have removed sponsors for not adhering to their 'code of conduct'. I think they are trying, but it can be difficult to police.

Anyway... I just do not want bashing to start. We are a professional forum, which means we should discuss without purposefully offending. JMO.

My apologies if you and Rhondagrace felt i was purposefully offending. I wasn't. I was trying to understand how a seal would be taken down because "they" promote rogue programs but at the same time links for rogue programs can be found on their site.

Our site was raked over the coals (not here) because of "rogue" programs so once again....."what is good for one isn't good for all" IMO.

But you hold no qualms in promoting some of the most questionable white label Rival casinos

Also, telling site visitors that most of the Rival casinos (which btw are white labels) pay players in under 2 days - and some even quicker.

You need to spend more time at CM's and read the Rival threads from pi$$ed off players who have not been paid. That should keep you busy for a good 3 months or so :p

Cheers

ok EVERYONE....

Enough of the bashing of each other. That includes EVERYONE in this thread. I'm tired of it. AGD is a professional forum and I would like to keep it that way.

Everyone here is good people... let's act that way, please.

Ooops!

Sorry, I thought mentioning that would not bring up any serious "too n fro-ing" ;D

Wonder what other Seals I should get to bring up some more "banter" 8)

I think GPWA in the end are trying to do the right thing, but as I understand from the volume of site, volume of casinos, it is a very hard thing to police, so I can understand certain comments, but still think in the big scale of things, any site which has the seal, still "has to adhere" to good webmaster rules, terms on site, the way the site works, information, etc.

Or you can shout me down, I am still new at this be gentle...........

JMO but that's a fairly good summary.

No current player or affiliate site/organisation is perfect. However I'd rather have something than nothing. People slag eCOGRA (I have too) but without them what recourse did players have to the casino, none.

Apart from PAB at CM's.
There are things done at CM's that I don't approve.

But all in all, like the GPWA and; eCOGRA and; CM's and; APCW and; AGD and others I'd rather have them here doing something than having nothing. I remember what is was like in the early days having nothing. Believe me you don't want that ;D

I am fully aware of the ongoing threads at CM - but I do try to take a balanced view and not just give a "knee-jerk" reaction.
I contacted SoF, and as a direct result of the concerns I expressed to them they removed the offending term from their T&Cs. I really think they are trying to "do the right thing".

I do however agree that now some other Rival casinos have gone past the point of redemption and I fully intend to not only remove these offenders from my sites, but add them to my blacklist. However, with many things distracting me on and off-line (like my missus about to pop out our second sprog!) I may not get the chance to do this for a week or so.

GPWA promotes ROGUES.
With all due respect, I will NEVER remain silent as long as this continues.
It is in the best interest of ALL of us to do everything in our power to rid the internet of scumbag casinos.
Nobody, but nobody needs them.

Rival issues have been ongoing since 2006 - 2007 over at CM. Taking action on ALL that information (3 or 4 years of it) can't be construed as a "knee-jerk" reaction.

However spin it anyway you like to suit your agenda, you usually do!
But you really are promoting some shoddy outfits.

My point is, clean up your own act and people may start taking your GPWA issue seriously.

Cheers

:)
