Hallo need some help setting up shop" site ,hosting ,what affiliate programs " ect

First off, im currently doing this Because i love slots and have too much time on my hands and need a project to channel some time into.

1. i was planing on using GoDaddy for hosting, is that a bad or good idea, if bad , where to sing up?
2. what affiliated program is good to begin whit, manly i want all these type of slots in my site. playtec - microgamíng - IGT - WMS - Novomatic,
i have started out whit "Casino rewards program"..
3. what model would i aim for, commission pr sign , wager model, or rev share.
4. templates for site, im a total noob there, any tips/post or guides to read up on.
5. any NONO´s and DODO´s i should look out for , so i dont get into a jam whit aff program or site host..?

Other than that, im glad i found this place here, and a good day to you all, may the fortunes shine on you.
P.s go gamble on nordicbet,,.. 80mio jackpot i played it today, i got into 3 ring and the jackpot just squeezer by landing on the next symbol, my heart nearly stopped...

I use godaddy for some of my sites on shared hosting with no problem.. But other people have had problems with godaddy and from what I hear HostGator may be a bit better.. It wont make a huge difference to start out with, its all shared hosting some people will love it while others hate it (different companies.. )

As far as your platform.. I would say go with wordpress.... I just like it better.. joomla is okay also but I would reccommend checking out wordpress and seeing what one you like more...

As far as programs I mostly market to USA players so I cant help you much there :)

*Oh and you will want to go with a rev share deal for sure... Ive made 10k off one player! and several K off others...

But Hostgator is a good choice for shared hosting... and I would check out wordpress... My 2cents... Drinking also :) so dont judge my spelling lol

I agree with Wordpress. It's much easier to theme than Joomla (IMO) and is really a better CMS overall these days (again, IMO). It always depends upon what you are planning to do with the site, but you can always (almost) take WP and make it fit.

As far as hosting, Hostgator is good. When you get more traffic, however, they will kick you to a higher level (sometimes unwarranted) and make you pay more. But that is well down the road.

Programs to pick for promotion... Look to the right. The Platinum Sponsors here are sponsors for a reason, they are good quality programs. Some of the best in the industry. Give them a try before the others. You will thank yourself for it later, trust me.

PayPal isn't an option. Some casinos/poker-rooms do offer to pay into your account but that can be risky if you lack self control.

I'm going to take a stab that your not in the USA because you used "cheque" not "check". Not sure how Canadians spell it

Here are a few to get you started (personally, I use Neteller as it's the most widely used web-wallet available):
  • Neteller
  • Moneybookers
  • Bank Wire
  • ECO Card
  • Click2Pay

I'm not a fan of Moneybookers because they use your email address as your login ID. Although my account was never hacked, its was hit by many attempts. On each failed hack the account is locked. It's a PITA to have it restored. After 1/2 dozen attempts in 6 months I closed my MB account.

Welcome.
I would hold off on promoting CR, there is a tempest in a teapot brewing that could become an affiliate wide boycott. Not likely because some important people are making scads, but it could happen.

Ladbrokes is heavily promoted and getting yourself a piece of that action may be difficult at best.

Bet365 is a little tough too, from what I hear.

If I were a new affiliate I would spend most of my energy finding a niche and then focus on it with superman laser eyes to carve out my place. But by all means, jump right on in and swim, there are millions of inconsequential competitors among those seventy million 'online casino' pages.

If I were to jump in I would probably do some reverse imagineering and focus primarily on the tablet. Why? Because html5 is going to make it indistinguishable from a PC for the foreseeable future.
I'd cut some deals for free pads too for my best customers.
The lack of imagination out there is mind numbing.

Oh, and by the way, without ingratiating yourself it is okay to thank the founder of this forum for his gracious input to your thread and responses to private messages also let people know you appreciate their help. But we were all raised with different manners on the internet so I'm not busting your balls, just saying.

If we knew what you were looking for - are you serious, is this an endeavor you are passionate about or just an idle time hobby? - we would be able to help you more. You will find the best of the best here.

But like I suggested earlier the commercial site GPWA might give a more immersive experience and someone surely will take you by the hand if you want a mentor. AGD seems to be more of a policing facility to keep the programs honest with the occasional focus on hunkering, grokking, and getting to know each other better.

Best to ya

Maybe an established UK/EU site can pick-up players on this brand but I certainly can't.

Thanks for bring that up lojo, it slipped my mind but it's time to yank them.

These days the money is still there but you have to fight hard to get it. And when you do finally get your site within the top 3 serps on Google for your niche, you then have to contend with A holes scrapping your content. The joys of being a gaming affiliate, hey ;D

Just some food for thought...
Way back in 2000 when I started you could through up a couple of banners and make money but not anymore. It takes a lot of hard work before seeing your first pay check. Whilst 97% of noobies who start in this game quit within the first 12 months. Although anyone who wants to learn can acheive great things, time spent learning how to, getting screwed and what not, is the price all affiliates pay in this industry for an education.

If you can devote up to 12 hours a day to this "hobby" you may make it. But if you can only spare a few hours a night, I'd say pick another box...just saying!

Im still here, site bought and payed for so, im gonna make this happen, no worries, as far as using 12 hours a day, nah not for me, ill make my site whit the small plans i got, trying to learn a few thins along the way to better myself.

as far as the "game" from what i read and how that forms in my head, is that its just like playing the casino, after your site is up, and "maby" you did good, getting some traffic, then you need to get lucky to hit the big money, thats my view on it for now.

its just a hobby, not gonna support me tough this, but im going to try learn as much i can while i do this, then we see how far, and serious things will get.

im gonna check that other site out too, and yea might try to get a mentor too if possible.
