The regulator announced strict new guidance for operators as part of the Commission’s work to strengthen consumer protection.

Operators will now need to follow new guidance and before making a customer a VIP and appoint a senior executive who holds a personal management licence to oversee their respective scheme.

Neil McArthur, Gambling Commission chief executive, said: “Operators can be in no doubt about our expectations. If significant improvements are not made, we will have no choice but to take further action and ban such schemes. These new rules are part of the Commission’s comprehensive program of tougher enforcement and compliance activity which has also seen the introduction strengthened protections around online age and ID verification improved customer interaction practices, and the banning of gambling on credit cards.”

What a complete load of BS...

There are many other industries, both online and land-based, which, have for years, offered VIP services. All (in some way or another) give inducements (aka carrot dangling). Be this cash, gifts or other rewards.

Clearly the UK Gov., fools who oversee this 3-ring-circus (UKGC), can't see by continue with their double standards, they will successfully drive more and more operators off-shore. Which in turn will heavily impact their internal revenue.
