maybe I should stop with SEO, any changes I make it gets worse (in Google) where a couple of years ago it always helped. The changes do help with Bing though. my site is just too old now I guess.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your site. It's rich in content and not forgetting aged too. There are just some really funky serps coming up in Google. A few years back everyone had their niches and ranked well, also caught some serps in other non targeted areas with long-tails. What's changed now is the competition. Every man and his dog has jumped on the casino affiliate wagon and, as a result a % of webmasters are using blackhat and other ways to game the Google alogs.
Pretty much from day one, forums such as AGD et al frown on blackhat and rightly so. Newbies are told the same thing. Back when the competition wasn't like is today, everyone got their piece of pie. Because imo, 99% of webmasters respected this-code-of-ethics and didn't use blackhat. Things have dramatically changed though. And while we continue to honour this "code" others and a lot of them are using whatever means they can to rank.
I've said it before but I'll say it again, the rules applied to mainstream sites in relation to Google best practices and what Cutts keeps saying, just don't seem to apply to the online gaming sector. If they did, then these sites using blackhat wouldn't be in top serps, across multiple niches.
I used to be of the belief blackhat was a short term gain and eventually Google would smack you for it. But watching sites who are clearly gaming the Google alog with blackhat et al, I'm not seeing Google kick them back into the stone age. If anything, I just keep seeing them rank higher and higher up the chain. To me that's a concern.
