Last summer there was a trend, where gambling related YT Channels got banned.
There was rumours flying around, that this was because people placed affiliate links in the description.

I've been multistreaming (Both Twitch & YT) for a while now, but I haven't had guts to place any affiliate links to YT.

Does anyone have more info regarding these bans and what you can/cannot do in YT?

I know that a lot of streamers are back on youtube after months of hassle, I do not think there is a straight answer to it. Youtube do what they like.

I think a link to your site (providing you have one) is ok, but not if it is an affiliate link to the casino.

What is your name on Twitch, just want to know if I have seen you and followed ;)

So you think link to my own site wouldn't do any harm?
That would be something for starters

I'm streaming in Finnish, my channel name is casinoproffa

For sure, BetonlineUK is right. Absolutely do not put any affiliate links. That will for sure eventually get you banned. Putting your own website should be ok. and if you want to put a link in the description again only link to your website. But I still think it is never 100% secure... but I guess as long as you dont try to make paid post you should be ok

What I've heard from affiliate managers that a fairly large Streamer is sending them around 400 NDC's per month.

For sure it takes lot of (consistent) work to get good following and earn the trust of the followers. But then again, everything takes lot of work.

And you need to offer something unique. It is not just to start playing and streaming and think that all the viewers will all of the sudden come to your channel. You need charisma and to be good in front of the camera.

I have seen plenty trying but failing just because them not being charismatic or interesting to watch. Remember that all are playing the same games, so the viewers are not coming to see you play a specific game but something else.

I agree 100%. Because streaming is (fairly) easy to start, it is also fairly easy to quit. You need something unique to keep people watching your streams. Also, I would advice everyone to do multistream, where you stream to Twitch and YT at the same time. This way you'll reach much broader audience.

If you are a sexy young female and do your stream topless you might get a good following...
Alas I am as far from that as you can get! :p

Being in the hands of a third party platform that could potentially close you down at any point is not an attractive approach for me. I know for a fact that the UKGC are currently looking into it as well as they're not happy with it.

And I disagree that you have to be unique. Learn how to use view bots and shop around for fake money accounts and get going. A lot of gambling addicts watching and they mostly just want to see big bets. Fake or not, they dont seem to care whatsoever.

While 400 NDC is very good, it's far from amazing in my humble opinion at least.

Agree 100% that the 4rd party platform is not ideal, but that is why I think it is a good idea to use the platform to market your own web properties. For me, Twitch and YT have been working as a branding/marketing platform, rather than a platform for getting tons of NDC's.
We are getting much more direct traffic and branded searches for our site, which seems to have a good impact on our SEO efforts ;)
