OK, this is a general thread and I'm interested in learning how other affiliates of all sizes have suffered as a result of scam/bankrupt/non-paying programmes. I mainly service the UK with UKGC-licensed sites so scammers are luckily rare, only had a couple in the 120+ programmes I've joined over 6 years. My unpaid 'write offs' or 'irretrievables' are a tiny fraction of what I've earned over the period but it's annoying nonetheless.
I have made a list of those programmes and the issues/reasons for unpaid earnings. Most amounts are small and some are just residual under-limit amounts they never bothered to pay when closing. That's not good though, as decent outfits like BGO and Red Queen for example informed the affiliates of closure and made clear they'd pay any balances, irrespective of how small, and they did. So here goes, my list of bad debts:
Caribic 17 euros (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
Volt 34 euros (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
Ace World £71 (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
Casino Commissions £177 used to have a few White Hat casinos, these were moved over into new ownership, (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
Quickthink £33 used to have those Slingo and X-Factor UK sites (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
AMPA Affs £54 (closed prog, no comms, balance not paid)
Genesis Affs 152 euros BANKRUPT AS DETAILED HERE ON AGD good until recently (closed prog, no comms, balance will not paid)
Scores Affs £200, lied in the MAP account by marking the amounts paid which they were not, ignored comms, then closed down no comms, no payment.
EMG Affs £240 total scam (as documented on here AGD) strung affs along for players, never paid, entered deliberate pre-planned insolvency owing some affs and suppliers considerable amount.
Win Windsor $250 unpaid for 14months, still operating, radio silence simply don't want to pay, thread here on AGD.
BigWin Affs. £74 on behalf of 666casino, closed down, DID communicate stating all amounts will be settled, account states completed 19 Dec 2022 but wasn't paid, AGD currently trying to resolve, could be a Paypal issue or account error??
Trada 59 euros (at least) in the OLD Trada affs programme, when Trada went over to Aspire this amount disappeared when the programme changed to OMG and legacy players vanished.
THESE BELOW ARE ALL NETREFER INTERFACES and were closed/deactivated by me in my account settings as I either wanted to drop them or in most cases they stopped taking and paying for UK rev so I was left with under-limit amounts I thought they would pay if the accounts were closed via the interface - none ever paid a penny. If anyone knows the proper procedure for closing a Netrefer account and getting you balance out even if it's under-limit, or if there's a term saying they don't have to pay it, please advise!

So that's 842 Euro/Dollars (about the same value so added) and £849 so total over 6+ years in £ is about £1564 or in Euros 1860
I am a sole trader and this is a very small amount in relation to the amounts paid properly, I guess it would be massively worse for the same time period for bigger affiliates or those mainly operating outside the UK market where things can be a degree dodgier I'd guess.
Hollywoodbets UK £68, still operating but I am trying to close account as it's a nightmare interface and the info is all wrong, I have VOLUNTARILY ceded this amount and requested by e-mail they donate it to charity rather than go through the hassle of their invoice requests. I am not counting this amount in my total unpaid above.
