Yes. Absolutely disgraceful.

It's an embarrassment, but ultimately it is not surprising given the general level of unprofessionalism evident in this whole industry.

I don't post often on AGD, I lurk a lot...

The GRA poster could have worded some sections better.
Some sections came across very antagonistic, not what you would expect from someone who is meant to be above the rubbish.
I think we expected a level of professionalism from people meant to be upholding and enforcing the standard.

In Australia, from time to time, in the real world - a player will win huge on a machine, these wins are checked before being paid out.
Some of the wins are not paid because the machine provider says "its a machine fault" and winning

Every time it has gone to a regulatory arbitrator it has ruled in favour of the machine provider.

I could totally understand it, if someone was defrauding the "system" and knew what they were doing was wrong, and not paying them.

But if someone legitimately won, and didn't know the machine was buggy or was defrauding the system, or went against the T&Cs - they should have been paid.

Recently one guy won about 28K - and they wouldn't pay it to him. Machine buggy was the reason why.
I think they ended up offering him like $800.
Ok to take his money, but not ok to pay it out.

event if it was porn or other more shitty vertical, its money we are talking about, its worse, its credibility, players that are not feeling safe, or see the games as fair will bad mouth the whole industry and take a toll on all of us at some point, its a pretty narrow viewed, belligerent posting, not up to what you would expect, GRA comes out damage on my view...

You are correct that a "Malfunction Voids Wins" in Australia and I think almost anywhere. But this issue with the GRA, Betfred, Finsoft etc is far from that scenario.
