Hi,

We recently launched FanContent - a content marketplace focused on sports and gambling that connects publishers with writers.

The way it works is Publishers place orders by providing details of the type of content they need, when they need it and the price they’re willing to pay for it.

The request is then presented on the FanContent marketplace where hundreds of vetted Authors can commit to delivering the order.

When completed, it is sent to our team of Editors to ensure the content delivered meets our quality standards.

As Publishers, how do you get your specialized content? Is this something you would consider using?

In addition to in-house team, we use individual writers as well as companies for specialized content. So far the content from individual writers has been much cheaper per word and quality is also good. If the price is good for the content, would consider using for sure - I don't know if having editors will allow a good cost structure though.

Hi JT,
Given that the platform is a marketplace, the pricing is fairly quite competitive.

In short an iWriter.com with a focus on gambling? Could be ok, but usually, I'll fight with rewrites and a lot of nonsense because such market places are crowded by tier3 writers from tier3 countries. Its a question of price and quality, but honestly I prefer my "usual" guys I work over years with. Where I don't have to explain how I want it, for what project, what structure, or SEO preferences.

Exactly... Having to explain every little detail, then receiving said work which is almost always below par, and more often than not, it reads like 'respun' content, it's really not worth the time, effort nor the cost. With all those points added together, I have in the past ended up writing the damn content myself. Because, I could never (more to the point), would I ever place such sub-standard content on my site(s).

@eenzoo - Like yourself, once I find a trusted content writer(s), who produces what I need, I stick with them.

We had similar experiences using other platforms which is why we built FanContent. Ensuring writers deliver quality is our key differentiator. We want to be able to remove all the pain points you've all experienced by easily finding a qualified writer and doing the edits for you. We do so in the following manner:

1) All submissions are reviewed by our team of editors who have the ability to either edit the articles themselves or reject the submissions completely at no charge to the publisher.

2) There is both a rating system and strike system to ensure writers are both qualified and reliable. The rating is provided by our team so that it's consistent and authentic. Authors who do not meet a certain rating minimum are removed from the platform.

3) Since we're focused on igaming, we're recruiting writers with a legitimate interest in the category and our editors are flushing out those that are "faking" it.

+1. I've found it better to have people dedicated to a project so that they can get a more comprehensive picture and develop.

Interestingly enough many of our customers and prospects had the exact same feedback. So, we listened and launched FanContent 2.0.

FanContent is no longer just a content marketplace but a content management platform. We want to help our publisher Plan, Manage and Create content.

Through our platform publishers gain access to a suite of tools and features that will help streamline their content process and boost content output. Best of all you can invite your existing group of in house writers or freelancers to your team on one central platform.

Platforms like Jira and Asana were not meant for content. Thats what we're trying to solve. Plus, we're giving away access to these tools free for the next month. Check it out

Ummm... I've signed up as a writer, but there doesn't seem to be any jobs available at present... as in NOTHING???

Can this be right? If so, I think you really need to work on promoting your brand.... I mean surely you must have connections with people who can post SOMETHING to get you started don't you??? ....

Seems a little bit embarrassing at the moment :( Good luck with it though!

Honestly, being a content creator myself I find that this sort of marketplace only succeeds in driving down the price for genuine, dedicated, professional creators and reduces the quality too. Content creators have every right to earn a living and be able to put their kids through college just the same as anyone else. I have never understood why some people believe that they should be able to get their web copy/blog posts/thesis produced for the same price as half a bottle of Hennessy. If you seriously want 1000 words written for $5 then, by all means, do it yourself. Having said that I will probably sign up as a lead is a lead, sigh!

I personally wouldn't use a writer from a platform. The ones I've used have been in this industry for a long time and know exactly what to do.

Getting in touch with them 7-8y ago was via word to mouth from a colleague in this field.

A recommendation from someone you know and trust literally removes the doubt factor.

As for the person asking why should a well written material cost X and not Y... supply and demand my friend. Communism is gone and so is the equality between job X and job Y.

Bu this is a topic for another thread. If I were you I'd create a list of webmasters that were satisfied with my services and are happy to pay what I charge even if it's a bit more expensive.

We tend to share details among us and that's how you become independant of such sites and poor quality cheap competition.

Heads up...

GPWA: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/review-content-marketplace-site-254575.html

think it was just one guy form India who took the orders and just outsourced them to atrocious fiverr $5 per blog post Pakistani and Indian "writers").

In a nut shell... "Fan Content" seems like it was manufactured on a pile of BS, to make it seem larger than life, when all it amounted to was a 1 man site, not paying writers, and supplying sub-par content.

The OP was...

Do not spam your site mate. Not cool for Google too you know..

He spammed that URL yesterday...

affiliateguarddog.com/community/threads/looking-for-programs-with-weekly-twice-a-month-affiliate-payments.17147/post-119651

I was reffering to <spam URL removed> but I think the hyperlink didn't work. So can now someone answer my question?

Not only spammed that thread but Hijacked it too. Posting complete nonsense.

Another spammer that needs kicking to the curb.
