Why do whales move on?

I'm not a low roller and I don't take bonuses. Yesterday I dropped $1.5K and did my nuts. I wont name the casino but contacted support for a comp. The support agent comes back saying, I've added $5 to you account. I didn't know what to say cause that's just too ridiculous for words.

When I compare the comps I used to get a few years back, seems a lot of casinos these days have become extremely tight fisted with comps. Maybe that's why players, especially whales are not as loyal as they once were.

Finding a lot who consider a 10% or less satisfactory. Which really is the pits, when you factor in the wagering requirement. I'm kicking the place to curb. Maybe that's what other players are doing a lot of these days too. Hence they don't stay around long...

A $5 comp is definitely too ridiculous for words considering you deposited $1.5k and many online casinos offer "no deposit required" bonuses of $20+. I certainly hope that I'm not promoting this casino.

Many times it depends on who you talk to in support about getting a player bonus. Some are able to do more than others.

I have some good players playing and happy with bonuses from casinos in the Rewards group that have been around for year. I don't have many players at Affiliate Edge but the ones I do have keep playing.

As a player from the US I am more than happy with bonuses I get from 3Dice Casino.

I think you will still get at least 10% out of most places. I don't see anything wrong with naming the casino though

Could the amount be based on total player wins and losses? I think CS can see your grand totals as I remember one of the live help MG CS reps saying to me some years back, you deposited x amount and won x amount.

Does anyone know how bonus money works from the casino end? Is it purchased? As far as I'm concerned the only thing that matters is real currencies leaving bank accounts. I don't see bonus money tied to any legal tender (unless a player wins off it and withdraws of course) yet in the affiliate backed its deducted from legal tender (ie.. money that has actually left a bank account).

That's a good point...however in this case, my losses far exceed my withdrawals.However I ended up contacting the casino manager and was duly compensated. Though, my referred players don't usually have this line of contact. Hence why I thought I post this question

What should happen when a player receives a bonus (should be managed on a double book-keeping principle).

• Player A credit a $100 bonus - Casino is debited $100
• Player A loses $100 bonus - Casino is credited $100

On your affiliate stats the $100 would be added to Gross Gaming and it would then be deducted from Gross Gaming. Essentially meaning you've neither lost nor gained $100. Where this becomes a contensious issue, is if the program also deducts bonus fees. Or if they are treating all bonuses as losses. In which case, they'd be deducting the $100 bonus twice.

The only time this changes is if and when the player wins on a bonus and inturn makes a withdrawal. If they don't withdrawal and lose it back, even their winnings. The $100 bonus never leaves the casino. Though that's where it comes down to trusting the program you working with.

Because affiliates are not privy to player wagering, withdrawals etc etc, these bonuses lost back to the casino, could be used to screw you out of your rightful earnings if the program/casino is not 100% honest.
