In the recent article published by Times Of Malta, it is said that Malta has become a centre for gambling companies worldwide.

Here are the reasons why so many online casino operators and software providers use Maltese licenses:

  1. The MGA is one of the world's respected gaming control boards,
  2. The licensing process is simplified, fast and offers a stable regulatory and legal framework,
  3. Malta has an established ultra-modern telecommunications infrastructure that can host and deliver round-the-clock connectivity,
  4. There are also ancillary services available including online payment processors.
  5. Gambling providers with a Maltese licence can also benefit from European onshore status = Malta-registered operators are allowed to advertise across the European Union.
  6. Players prefer gambling providers with a Maltese licence because it provides them with fair, transparent gaming experience.
  7. The gaming tax in Malta depends upon the games offered and the type of remote licence.
  8. Malta enjoys a stable political and economic situation and has a workforce that has years of experience when it comes to the online gaming sector.

What are you thoughts regarding MGA licenses?

- Corruption
- Italian Organised crime
- Journalists blown up in their cars
- Higher admin fee that deducted from affiliate income
- Declining market, if MGA accept players from one country today, this is not guarantee that tomorrow this market will be regulated and affiliate lost all players
- Affiliate Managers* - who cheating affiliates under MGA license
- For many countries is absolutely don't matter have brand MGA license or no. Both variants is illegal gambling.

For us, affiliates - more licenses and regulations = less income.

Hi,

I dont agree with a few of those pointers.

For one that journalist being blown up has nothing to do with the igaming industry in my point of view. Also, I dont see any relation between higher admin fees and Malta. It really depends on the program you work with. I promote brands licensed in Curacao that charge higher admin fees than maltese licensed brands and vice versa in some cases.

If its illegal in a country to gamble than obviously a maltese license ( in most cases) will not be able to turn the tide, but this is with all licenses anywhere isnt it. A restricted country is just that, a restricted country.

A lot of your points have nothing to with the MGA license, i think you should maybe a closer look at some of the partners you are working with.
