Hi guys, i had some problems finding good content writers in english and wanted to know if any of you have good expiriance with this?

Mostly it feels like they create content with words becouse words pay but for me its more about quality so its not about finding the cheapes but just good content writers for wort investment.

I got similar experiences. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. I've tried all so called gambling content experts on forums like these, but it's almost all the same, generic, not interesting content, ignoring basic seo rules, etc.

If you want good content writers you need very deep pockets, it's best to just contract someone full time but as you mentioned English is not just enough.. The amount of UK people I know that can't string a sentence together and bore people to death that work as free lance writers "unbelievable" .. usually an intern looking to get into journalism is pretty good to get started

I agree with Frank here. Plenty of content writers aren't even capable of writing things correctly, or they're just missing the style... some are better, but missing the link with gambling and casinos. Also somebody needs to know a bit about SEO.

Talking about SEO, it is a bit like with SEO. Masters are using it for their own business.

A lot of people offering content or SEO services tried themselves before. Without any success I suppose.

I've found the same thing too.
While I'm not dishing anyone who has written content for me before, what always seems to fail, is the interest level.

I want something players can really get their teeth stuck into. Not generic cookie cutter content.

Seems there are only two choices these days, write it yourself or hire a bona fide journalist (copywriter) who has a proven track record within online gaming. Anyone other than that without having formal qualifications, and your doing yourself and your site a diservice.

I've looked into it out here in AU, and the going rate is around AU$85 per 500 word article.
Maybe use a copywriter to write home content, and other highly trafficed areas of your site. The rest you'd write yourself.

My nemesis are casino/slot reviews.
Used to enjoy doing them, but after 17 years and, literally 1,000's of them, I just about go mentally insane if I have to write another.

Casino/Slot reviews these days are about the only content I'd consider paying $0.03 or cents a word for. Most times I re-edit the content anyway. But least this way I have something, I'm not having to produce it all myself.

Anything else, I write it. But really starting to see the benefit in hiring a bona fide copywriter.

It is hard and you need to sift through a lot of crap to find decent people. But once you do, the best thing is to keep them - give regular work, pay decent rates and don't be too demanding.

Yep. that's the only thing makes sense to me.
Checked for some high quality and was offered 96 euro for 500 words articles which for me doesn't make much sense.

True, but always keep an eye at their work. I've had content writers that have started great, but bit by bit the content got worse. It's difficult. I even tried with giving people a share of the revenue of a website, but also that didn't work out very well.

I hadn't realised just how much SEO affects the style of your writing. I'd produced a few articles before I heard about Yoast. Being a total amateur I'd not considered the fact that they may not be SEO friendly, in fact the thought never entered my head that the style mattered. I ended up re-writing them entirely, which was quite depressing...

Thanks for all tips. Agree baldidiot i had many content writers before and this method works as well for me with current Swedish writers but still aslo agree with biti, once in a while i have to roar just to make a stand that now you are just spiting words to make fast money. Its tricky =) But question still remains and also i think i wasnt clear enough=( What i ment was where do you go to find content writers? In Sweden i had no problem finding writers its like a mouth to mouth thing who is writing good ontent but in english i suddenly fins forums, fiver, companies and so on. So where to begin it feels like its to many sources to try out?

As far as "I just about go mentally insane if I have to write another." I feel about the same. I've written so many it's like pulling teeth to get my fingers to do the walking. One thing that I have found motivating and challenging, that often makes for great reviews is to team up with another website owner and do a sort of, article exchange. Find someone competitive, and try to outdo each other by writing the best article. Nothing like some friendly competition to get the creative juices flowing.

@RyanWeb - really great idea you have :)

In all seriousness, even if I had a loaded gun pointed at my head, I'd say... Just pull the fuckin trigger! I enjoy writing, but simple can not write reviews etc anymore. When your at the 17 year mark Ryan, I'll remember to point you to this thread. By that stage I reckon you'll feel the same as I do, now :D

I am not close to 17 year mark, but already feel that, but i get bored quickly. The only articles i really enjoy writing is when i have a unique idea or some unique way of putting things and then I enjoy the creativity of the process.

Oh of course, everything we do goes through some kind of editing process after it's received. Plus we do random spot checks through copyscape and snippet searching to make sure it's all on the up and up as I'm sad to say we have had some great people turn bad pretty quickly.

Same thing here.

Good writers turned bad pretty quickly. Not that they lost their skills, but they became lazy. Paying them per word to see phases like "offers slots like Starburst, Twin Spin, Gonzo's Quest, Guns 'n Roses, Motorhead, Jimi Hendrix, Dazzle Me, Stickers, Fantasini: Masters of Mystery, Glow, Secrets of Christmas, Fairytale Legends: Red Riding Hood, Dead or Aline and more. Or MicroGaming slots like .... [insert 13 MG slots].

And bad writers remain bad writers usually. The most annoying part is that they don't even listen to instructions.

I wish I could help you out here. I also have issues with getting good quality English speaking content writers. Don't Brits go to school? :)
I started using allintranslations dot com but they cost me a fortune. The quality was good though. Now I'm back doing it myself....

You lot probably are not interested, but I am a British writer that has produced well over 500,000 words of content for casino affiliates.

I like to think I can string a sentence together, but who knows?
