Where shall i place the Tag Cloud ? On main page only or all of the pages ?

I am displaying it on the main page only. And one more question. Does the widget automatically generates the tag cloud for the related page ? Or for the whole site ? I meant that, do all of the pages tag clouds the same or differs ? And could you please recommend me a Tag Cloud generator widget ?

How useful do you find a tag cloud as a user of other websites? I find them about as useful as tits on a bull.

If you think a tag cloud will make your site rank better in a search engine then I think you need to re-evealuate your strategy. It is after all just a list of links, so it will no better or worse than any other list of links.

My advice is to stick it on a single page somewhere a search engine will find it but most users won't.

I was going to mention this too - I don't really get the point of Tag Clouds.

I mean, as a visitor to a site, I can't imagine I'd have much interest in the sort of keywords people have been using to visit a site and from a webmaster's point of view I don't see what benefit they give you: keyword information can be found from Analytics and I can't believe that the cloud offers any special link value.

Just my $0.02 though!

I use tag clouds.

But not for SEO.

I use a data base linked to the tag cloud (custom script - custom CMS) to help improve my own sites search function.

IMO, tag clouds are useless for SEO.
