What is an attractive incentive?

Would love to hear what gets you going as an affiliate? What would you genuinely consider as a good incentive? What would make you put in the extra effort? Would you prefer to see cash prizes, experience days, tickets to events or increased commission structures?

What kind of structure gives incentives the best edge? Achieve X amount of new player sign ups then be entered into a raffle? Or is there a better format for incentives you would like to see?

Opinions are greatly appreciated. What gets affiliates going? Don't be shy :)

Kind Regards

Alex

New affiliates this month can take advantage of 50-70% rev share for 3 months - contact me if you would like to know more :D

I'd be happy with 35-40% flat, and a rewards points program for advertisers to receive tangible goods for hitting certain targets.

I have had affiliate programs send me money to pay for my hosting, had pizza delivered, and even got a nintendo DSi.

I know some affiliate managers even send flowers and gifts to their best advertisers on birthdays, weddings, christmas and other occasions.

I think its nice... especially if you have that business relationship.

had pizza delivered

I was about to post that all I care about is...
- High revshare
- Certification by AGD & CasinoMeister
- Not insisting on calling me with your "great ways to make more money" and than wasting my time with pushing for more exposure

... but wow, PIZZA changes everything!!

Would be 2 great affiliate signup boxes:
1. Telephone number of local pizza restaurant
2. Preferred taste

Would cost next to nothing to do, would make the boring sign up process a bit more fun, and could result in bit of word of mouth.

PS If you implement the idea I want a pizza! :p

*homer* Pizzaaaaa ... (drool) */homer*

Seriously, apart from the obvious higher revshares for performing affs, and other such cash £$€ related things - if you are going to do a non-cash incentive mix them up a bit. For instance, don't just offer holidays as some of the affiliates either can't or don't like travelling. If are going to give away a game console per quarter, mix it up and don't just do three PS3s, but do an Xbox360, a PS3, A Wii, etc.

If food related not *just* pizza, or *just* chocs.

Just some, random thoughts as I am a newbie affiliate - and thus thinking ahead to if/when I am doing well enough to earn some incentives ;)

For me I like achievable incentives.

I'm certainly not incentivized by promotions that reward 'highest number of new players this month' or similar as this isn't something I'm likely to be able to win.

I like incentives that are achievable. For example, promotions to active affiliates (ie: those that are sending traffic) but have no real money players are always good.

Most affiliate incentives and promotions tend only to reward the affiliates who are already the top performers.

However, things like : increase your number of sign ups by x3 over the last month and get a £30 additional CPA for each new player - this is the type of thing that incentivizes affiliates to promote one brand over another and is achievable for all affiliates.

Back to reality :)

I agree with a lot of what was said. If affiliate programs truly want to incentivize affiliates with the idea that they will promote a casino if the incentive is good.

With that said, incentives should not be geared towards the TOP affiliates in your program. That will incentivize nobody :) If the promotion allows ANY affiliate to win, then you (the affiliate program) will win.

This might mean an increase in percentage of Net or an increase in percentage of new deposits, but it needs to be normalized such that large affiliates are not the only ones who can win.

I have taken part (and won) exactly 1 contest like this. I won a trip to Australia which was never given.

Yes. Consider "Pizza" a codeword for incentives that are within reach of all affiliates.

Thanks for these comments, it’s given me some good building bricks to start forming an incentive scheme that works and is attractive.

We want to give everyone a “slice” of the action and provide incentives that are not draws or lotteries based on the top affiliate sign up figures. From your comments I think something the affiliate can monitor through the system to see how far they are away from achieving the set goal would be motivational.

Food for thought!
