Welcome Slots Vendor to AGD as an affiliate-friendly program. We have been working with Nick over at Slots Vendor now to ensure that the Terms and Conditions are freindly. He has been tremendously helpful and available, continuously.

Slots Vendor affiliate program opened in February 2012 and is running their own proprietary affiliate software. The backend has a wide array of reports for traffic, revenue, and commisions.

Liberty Slots is the casino associated with Slots Vendor. You may recall that this is a 'Vegas Technology' casino (now called Wager Gaming Technology). This is the only such casino with this software on the internet at the moment.

Nick Yap (formerly with Casino Coins) is the new affiliate manager at Slots Vendor (Several of us at AGD recommended Nick for employment when they were in search of an affiliate manager). Nick has experience both with keeping affiliates happy and with the software platform behind the casino itself.

Contact Nick: Send Nick a PM

Welcome to AGD, Slots Vendor and Nick!

--------------------------------------
As always, you can support AGD by the following methods:

* Sign up at the affiliate program: SlotsVendor Affiliate Program

* Sign up at a casino: Slots Vendor Affiliates Casinos

Hi Andy,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome and the fantastic recommendation. It's great to be back in the industry and I hope I can help make SlotsVendor a successful and affiliate friendly program that everyone can be proud to support.

If any one has any questions about the program or for me directly, you can reach me on AGD via PM, Skype: nick.yap6 or via email nick at slotsvendor.com

Cheers,
Nick

So the truth finally comes out eh? :emoticon-0174-bandi

For the shocked doubters of this post here, that Nick was involved all along.

This casino could very well belong to the Casino Coins group. I remember getting an email from Nick Yap about liberty slots a long time ago (before the website even opened). He asked me if I would be interested in promoting this new casino which will be opening soon, and I didn't reply back. Thank god I didn't reply back, and thank god i'm not a complete fool too. Looks like I would have been conned into promoting a dodgy online casino.

Here is the email:

"I just wanted to give you the heads up that I'm starting with a new US program coming up this week.

It's a former operator who ended up getting a license from people who split from VT. The software will basically be the same as VT, but under a different name, similar to when OddsOn got sold to VT. Let's set up a chat this week and I can fill you in on the details.

The brand name will be LibertySlots.com

Cheers,

Nick"

Right on Rob!

I like Nick and hes always done a good job. For as long as I live I'll trust Vegas Technology and their casinos as much as I trust Grand Prive and theirs.

Hi All,

Generally I choose not to respond to rumours and allegations, but after speaking with Andy I felt it was necessary to post and clear the air for the naysayers. I don’t really feel like I should have to defend myself or my choice of employment, so after this post I will leave it to the community to believe what they will.

Last year in June, following some well publicized industry news (Black Friday, Bookmaker etc.), Casino Coins, Vegas Technology et al decided to shutdown and walk away from a very profitable business. My involvement with Casino Coins was as Affiliate Director. I never held any ownership stake, nor did I ever receive a percentage of revenue. In August 2011 I was let go, but not before ensuring ALL affiliates who were able to be paid were paid out. Even after being laid off, I helped a few affiliates who had my personal contact info get in touch with ownership to recover their owed commissions. I had no influence on the decision to close. I worked there for 5 years and was treated like family. I had offers to leave throughout my tenure, but always stayed and would never have left.

In September 2011, I was approached by the owners of Liberty Slots and was informed of their intention to license software from the group who acquired Vegas Technology and they expressed interest in bringing me on board. In haste I decided to email a few affiliates who I had relationships with, so when I started I could hit the ground running. Liberty decided to move forward without an affiliate program and as a result not hire me. Anyone who received that email and responded would know that it never went through and I didn’t start working for them. Let it be clear that I did not randomly send emails nor did I spam any Coins affiliates. I sent personal emails from my personal Gmail account letting a few people know about my plans post-Casino Coins.

I moved on and started doing my own thing, consulting for a few local businesses here in Toronto. I was also very busy with my personal life as my wife and I were expecting our first child. The only time I even spoke about this industry was in December when a few AGD moderators told me my name was brought up. It was these same moderators who pushed to have Liberty reconsider their affiliate program.

January 2012, I was approached again by Liberty to help them get an affiliate program together. They made me an offer and I met with them at ICE in London to close the deal.

I have always been transparent with everyone I work with and have great pride in what I do. You can choose to work with Slots Vendor or you can choose not to. Those who have worked with me in the past have had a positive experience and I believe I have built trustworthy and valuable relationships in this industry.

I hope me coming here and telling you the story myself, has helped clarify the situation. If you are still unhappy, so be it. You do not have to work with me or Slots Vendor. No one is here twisting your arm. I’ve learned I cannot please everyone.

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Nick,

I think you may have misunderstood my post. I know your a good man and trustworthy. It's Vegas Tech that I don't trust.

Your right, its up to each individual who they promote and why. I just can't do it and risk loosing a player datbase again.

Good luck with the new position Nick.

Hi pdjoe,

Thanks for the well wishes :)

I didn't mean for the post to come off like I was jumping down your throat. It was more directed at questions regarding SlotsVendor, Liberty Slots, WGT and my involvement/role in the whole situation, rather than just your post specifically.

If you do change your mind about Liberty Slots, you know where to find me :)

Cheers,
Nick

True enough! When Nick asked me if I know who was behind the casino now I told him nope but many are speculating etc but I would support him on whatever he decided to do. I trust Nick and for that reason am going to give this a go, I could lose my player database but the way I look at it these days that can happen with any program I work with. It's a gamble but I am going to take that risk. Players are happy so far with no complaints.

No matter what I think it is important for AGD to read terms of every program no matter what the vibes are, no matter if people think they are shady etc this is about the programs terms and they are good so they got a label for that. Should there be some sort of notice about the past I don't really know it isn't my call on that maybe have the community vote on that? Maybe they should be on a probation period? We knew there would be some not so happy folks but also AGD could not ignore a new program.

Thanks for coming and posting Nick that was great to do.

Well I signed up and I wished I would not have now.

The old manager from casino coins... Well it only took me three years and a pitch a bitch over at casinomeister to get a partial payment from casino coins.

They didn't pay me because Lou Fabiano asked them not too... What a bunch of classy thieves.

I can't believe you certified these guys Andy... IMO, these guys are a BIG part of whats wrong with this business.

This is a new company... past things happened with a totally different company. Certified means they have good terms it does not mean we are making people go and sign up.
Don't get so defensive. You guys certify who you want and I get to have my say about your decisions... Right?

This maybe a new website, but the people running it have history in this business... bad history from my point of view.

The 'new' website/company means nothing, the people running it are everything.
This same person screwed me before, no matter what website he currently runs...

If he screwed me, he'll screw you too...

Seems to be the way things are now... A casino or aff program screws as many as they can then they fade away... a few months later, a new and different casino and aff program pops up with the SAME people running it that ran the program that screwed everyone... and it starts all over again.

Really???
No place for past history.. huh

Like I said the company does not matter, the people running it do.

I would like an apology from you for the flaming comment. That is totally out of line, in my opinion.

I flamed no one and only stated what happened to me and what will most likely happen to others, if they do business with these PEOPLE.

You seem so bent on defending the company, you must be promoting them heavy...
I just hope the people running this 'new' company don't screw you like they did me and many others.

I also wanted to add.
Part of the deal of this forum is to exchange information on these programs. That is what I am trying to do. Everyone that reads this thread can make up their own minds about what I said.

I have a bad experience with these PEOPLE and I am relating it to my peers so they are aware of what has happened in the past... as the past has a direct relation to the present, no matter what you think.

Certified simply means that the terms and conditions meet our standards. That is all it has ever meant and all it will ever mean.

That said, the ownership is all new, and I was one of probably a lot of people who suggested to them that they hire Nick because he had experience with the software and was an excellent manager, which he is.

I didn't know that Nick was your good buddy. Not that it would have changed my opinion or what I said.

If all you mods want to do is promote your buddies... Well that is not what I thought this forum was about.
If all I wanted was one sided affiliate program promotions, I would go to CAP or GPWA.

If you don't want honest discussion about the programs your certifying, all you have to do is let me know that this forum is just for promoting a few programs for your buddies.

Nick is not my buddy, I have seen him maybe twice in many years at conferences, and I have talked to him maybe a couple times a year about business. I hardly consider that a buddy. You and I have had a lot more contact with each other than I have had with Nick.

Your issues were with Lou, who has passed away, and casino coins, whose owners have left the building.

Things have changed, the software is coming back under new owners, and I do consider Nick a good manager. If I have to talk to a manager often enough to become buddies, it often indicates that the program is not performing the way I think it should. Or that they are the pushy type, which I dislike. This has not been the case with Nick.

Just an FYI... This is from my standpoint:

We do certify the terms here. In many cases the past can also make a difference (Take Grand Prive, for example... if we found a new affiliate program owned by them, we would not certify). Affiliate Managers - we cannot make them the scapegoats here, just wouldn't make sense. They are employees and do whatever management tells them to do. We do look at a lot more metrics for our Sponsors as well (such as rogue casinos, communication, and more).

All programs need to have some sort of certification level here so that if an affiliate wants to promote them - they can at least feel confident that THE TERMS are good. This is the case with Slots Vendor.

I know some feel that the ownership is the same... I am confident that it is not. I do not have proof of this. I have not found out who the owners are yet. My only knowledge is from Nick and also from a few others who I have asked and have validates that the owsers are not the same. Again - I do not know who the current owners ARE, though.

I do know that the casino is licensed by an owner (not the software vendor this time around).
