I did not get paid this month Vegas Affiliates. I contacted our affiliate manager via skype who informed me she no longer worked there.

Thanks. That is what was happening with me, but when I tried the password recovery form I'm not getting any emails back from the system. :rolleyes:

Maybe I'm a little paranoid right now with all the BS going on, but I sure don't like them canning the affiliate manager with no replacement and no communication and worst of all - no payment!

PS: did anyone get paid by VA? I normally get wires.

J. Todd had mentioned them in one of his video at APCW, warning them not to anger him. I guess if you contact him, this might do it :)

These brands are owned by the ******* based in Milan.

They seem to think that the industry should still be performing like it did 10 years ago when you could earn a $1million a week with one brand.

There staff turnover is also very high, as you cannot do any campaign unless it comes from the *****

Their retention is so bad also.

Hello and good morning everyone,

My name is Chris Matthews and I took over from Daniela and Ellen as Affiliate Account Manager at Vegas Affiliates as of yesterday.

As you may know we are relocating our affiliate operation to London office from our Malta office and I will be seeing that move through from beginning to end. We would like to assure you that everything is operational as normal and that this change will not affect any outstanding payments due. If there are any hiccups in the process I will resolve them and I would like to invite you to contact me with any concerns , or outstanding queries you may have.

We would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that a number of our representatives will be attending the Dublin Supershow between the 24th and 26th May . It would be great to meet up with you in person to discuss any issues you might have face to face.

Welcome to AGD, Chris. I hope you stick around VA. They seem to lose AM's anytime things start to get better with affiliates.

Sorry had to run errands yesterday.

No. no payment yet. BUT I did get two new emails, one from the IT department about the password issue. And another one from the marketing department saying that April has not been sent out (wires) but is coming this week.

Grateful that I'm getting any response, but just as irritated at the non-communication about the whole issue. I certainly do NOT understand why my payment is delayed while they make their move to London. Seems like just a likely excuse to me.

I am happy that they are at least being responsive, have a new affiliate manager, etc. But this movie is getting OLD! Every 3-6 months it seems there is a new manager new team that has absolutely no information on the past.

I wish the new fellow the best of luck! Thanks for showing up here.

The recent complications in certain markets have affected a handful of affiliates. We are discussing these issues with the affiliates involved, and we will have a favorable resolution for them in the new week.

CAREFUL OF THIS GROUP. THEY SEEM TO NOT HAVE THEIR OWN STORY STRAIGHT. I WANT CLARIFICATION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE CHRIS.

Note to US affiliates: considering we can't send US players (meaning our players have to be international because US players can't signup) for some reason US affiliates will not be getting paid going forward. And we may not be getting paid for APRIL even. The emails are worth your time to read, and I'll let other people comment on this nonsense because I'm upset and probably gonna get my foot in mouth. But it looks like no US affiliates earnings are safe any longer with VA, by their own mouth. --- Thanks for the warning VA!!! :mad: NOT! Although they know this information how many US affiliates were warned that they have no way to pay you?

Email 1 from Chris:
Due to current legislation and circumstances, which are beyond our control, all our funds with our us facing partners have been frozen.

As one of our valued affiliates we want to do the best deal for you that we can , and to that end we are paying outstanding commissions to US facing affiliates for Aprils payment run . We apologize for the delay while we were gaining clarity on the issues involved but are pleased to announce the payments will be processed early in the new week. I personally discussed and pushed forward your specific case with the company and I finally managed to get things moving.

Unfortunately any payments that are due in the May payment run will be suspended until if or when the partner funds have been unfrozen.

We would very much like to continue our association in our Non-US facing brands and hope in time that business can become as profitable for you as the US business was . If we can give you any assistance with regards to creative material in different languages please don't hesitate to let me know..
My reply:
Please note I have international players, too and in fact most of the traffic I sent comes to you from Italian. I hope this comes out in the news that VA funds were frozen because after sipping coffee and reading that only certain "US partners" funds are frozen really makes me suspicious as hell. How/why does anyone freeze part of a bank account. I have never heard of this before. Then I read your post and its obscure. It says only a handful of affiliates are effected????

I'd like the full story please?

His final reply:
I appreciate your concerns.
We are fully aware that you have international players and not just US. We assure you these are not affected by the events in the US of “Black Friday” by the US Government. I would actually like to take this opportunity to encourage you to send us more players outside of the US.

To clarify, the freeze part, all processing from the US has been stopped not just us, but also for all other operators. Once and if we get the funds back you will be paid for your commissions immediately. I was referring to only a handful of our affiliates as not all our affiliates get players from the US. This means that only part and not all our affiliates are affected by these events.

Regarding the payments, US payments from March will be processed early next week. Unfortunately April US payments will be on hold until further developments from our processors. All other non US payments will be processed as normal.

I hope the above clarifies the situation and feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.

P.S Please note that I will be away from the office until Monday morning CET. I will be more than happy to continue this conversation on Monday when you retain.


SO I'm letting someone else tear this apart if they want. I get it quickly, and have to go outside it makes me so mad.... IF and When you may get April... definitely May is on the rocks and NOT ONE WORD of warning from these guys until May 7th??? (and ONLY in my private email, and who knows how long if I didn't spill this? - as far as affiliates at large I don't think anyone was notified of these issues )

I have heard rumors that other MG (Level11) programs are not able to pay US affiliates OR players since the software provider froze the assets which I think is hogwash all they need to do is dip into the over flow made off non US players and sort everyone out.

Ok, so I made a large error in my first post about Black Friday being in March :D, probably cause I'm upset about missing my March payment! and Black Friday had nothing to do with March.

Chris here are the problems:

a) Complete change of staff with no announcement. We don't find out until we come looking for our late payment?
b) Lack of communications after the problem has finally been brought to light. Where are you? its Monday. I think the job of affiliate manager is to deal with affiliate issues. We're talking about March earnings! No answers in my email box or on this forum.
c) You say the reason for no pay is Black-Friday which is a U.S. issue! - VA doesn't accept US players so it sounds stupid from the get-go.
d) I send mostly French and Italian players and don't even have a US link up anywhere so I shouldn't even be effected.
e) European affiliates report no problem being paid for March.
f) I'm finally told the problem (although I don't understand it) when inquiring about March payment in May but luckily they are going to get my payment out next week?

this means you do indeed have payment processing available?

but wait a minute because you said here:

So do you or don't you have processing? And if you do, what is the problem with paying us for April and May's payment? :rolleyes: Why will we not be paid for this?

Maybe (and I hope it is) your email is just worded horribly? :confused: When you say "April US payments" does you mean US PLAYERS? or US AFFILIATES? at any rate someone needs to explain it.

I'm all for being flexible when there are issues as long as they are legitimate and you don't make us play cat-n-mouse! But the story needs to be clear and not full of holes. Emails around our payments should be articulate and easy to understand. We should all get them. Problems with payment processing should be expressed immediately to your affiliates so that we may prepare. Non-payments or payment delays should be announced so we may budget accordingly. We ALL have companies to run and people to feed and pay. Most importantly it helps us to keep calm and work as a team on problems.
