They USED to be very good, but I've been hearing a few negative vibes about them recently. I think Webzcas had an issue with them recently, but I've forgotten what that was...

Been promoting them for over 4-years (small, steady income); not personally had any serious issues with them, apart from they appear to run their own e-mail spamming campaigns from time to time (which they deny, of course!)

Can anybody recommend this program?

In a word: NO!

Wagershare promise the earth, decent commission percentage and then down the line, they change the goal posts and put you back at 25%.

In addition, I have had a lot of locked accounts, caused by players self excluding. Nothing wrong with that, until you find they remove the revenue generated as they have closed their account - AND NOT CHARGED BACK!

The onus is on the affiliate to remind them after three months have lapsed, so they can make an manual adjustment and then provide you with your rightful earnings you have generated.

I expect many affiliates have had sizable amounts withheld as a result of this practice, as Wagershare have no automated system in place, to make the adjustments once the three months have lapsed and no charge backs have occured.

It took me, threatening to inform all my link partners and making public statements on here, CM and elsewhere, for them to release my rightful earnings. Which was several thousand pounds.

As it is now, they have absolute minimal exposure on my sites and the only way they will come back on, is either they back date my percentage to the formerly agreed amount and/or pay me a no strings attached media buy.

In short, there are much better mgs programs to work with than Wagershare.

This is not uncommon as playshare does the same.

"PSP : If you look at the status of that particular account, you'll notice that it is closed. We do not pay commission on locked accounts."

Must have some 1000's all together at Brightshare, Wagershare and Playsharepartners in locked accounts.......

What can I do ??

This industry is all so F**cked up really!!

Wagershare promise the earth, decent commission percentage and then down the line, they change the goal posts and put you back at 25%.

Experienced the same, no good results and your back at the basic level of 25%.

+++What MG groups are left worthy to promote ???+++

Do not promote Wagershare. It's not worth your time and efforts where you will definitely get screwed in the end.

I am happy with GoWild, fast affiliate payments and they are good to players!
Our AM is Yoni and he does a wonderful job, always there if there is anything you need. :)

About Wagershare, yeah, I had that case twice,
2 players who made bigger deposits have locked their accounts and our commission was gone. After 3 months then we asked them if there were now chargebacks or not and to adjust our commission. Really not like this.

WagerShare has been known to offer special deals (i.e. base 30% or 35%), but after a few months, they'll set your rate back to 25%, thus stealing a large chunk of your future residual income.

Steer clear of this group....

I have spoken to a number of affiliates about Wagershare and even those affiliates that would be considered 'Super' Affiliates, have been treated like this ( reduction of agreed percentage ) by Wagershare...

I wasn't aware that Brightshare practiced this. Something for me to look into this week .....

As for good MGS programs to work with. Fortune Affiliates were the first program I signed up to back in 2004 when I started out. I have never been given the round around by them, they are consistently one of my top earners and their player retention seems good.

There are others as well. 32Red instantly springs to mind :)

Thanks for this info guys. I was going to start promoting Wagershare hard, but after this feedback I won't even add them to my sites.

Hi Guys,

I have to offer a contrary view in this thread based on our experiences with wagershare.

Commission:
We are on a special deal with them that is significantly better than the default 25% sliding scale. We are of the understanding that the deal is temporary and will revert back to the default if we quit sending fressh customers for a prolonged period. We accept this as fair and it is completely above board, they have not tried to give us an impression that it is permanent.

I am pretty sure that if we were willing(able) to send them 150+ depositors for a few months straight, we would be able to negotiate a longer term deal.

Locked Accounts:
We have found their system to be automatic. On the 4th month after the account is locked, the funds get credited to our settlement. Provided it is a self-exclusion.

On the positive side, we love that they do not bundle the casinos, and now they have Betway in there with a more Scandi focus and a good sportsbook.

I guess we have found them to be fair and have never caught them trying to put one over on us.

Cheers

Lol 150+ depositors a month. I can negotiate a better deal with the majority of operators if I agree to just send them 20 new depositors a month. 150 is a very large amount compared to the average affiliate.

Sorry but that is false. I even have it in writing from them that they have no automated system in place.

I am pretty sure that if we were willing(able) to send them 150+ depositors for a few months straight, we would be able to negotiate a longer term deal.

Like I say, there are countless better programs out there. When I refer players at x% I expect to receive x% for the lifetime of that player. Not have it dropped down to y% some months later.....

They make me a lot of money (top 3 earners) so definitely can't be ignored, player value is very good, but conversion is bellow average. And it's not difficult to get a 35% deal.

I can't recommend them.

Mainly due to a bad conversion rate.

I am not going to place them on the homepage when they don't convert. if you don't place them on the homepage they drop you to as low as 25% - they did to me.

It was not like I was not making them any money - the month they did this trick to me they made 12k from players I had send their way over the years. Thanks a lot guys!

I did and (unfortunately) still do send them new players every month - not a lot of new players but I do send them new players.

Perhaps I could understand that they would need to lower commission if i had stopped promoting them completely. In my opinion this was not at all in the spirit of our agreed partnership. In my opinion they tried to force me into placing their non-converting dead brands on the homepage - it did not work like they planned.

They are now on my 'not happy with at all list of MG casinos' - just next to Starpartner. In the long run I am going to make sure they regret their decision to run their business like this.

As someone mentions above - It's not hard to get a 35% deal. No it's not at all - but I can tell you that it's very hard to stay on whatever level you agree to unless you are willing to keep them on your homepage with a in my experience terrible conversion rate. I was not.

I am sure they are laughing all the way to the bank right now - with "my" money in their hands.

It's a dog eat dog world i guess - a few years ago a couple of people from Wagershare came to visited me in my hometown, in my privat home too. Nice people. But at the end of the day it's just business and nothing more.

I feel like a fool for allowing myself to end up in this position - but it's a lesson learned the hard way. It's not going to happen again.

With Wagershare - if you just have to - I would consider CPA or a PERMANENT flat rate deal. Yes --- get it in writing!!

Personally I am looking for sites that keeps the players coming back, sites that don't spam their players - stuff that converts. I see a lot of better converting MG casinos out there who are interested in a long term partnership, who are not waiting for a chance to take bits and peaces from your share of the cake.

Great post Jan - this seems to be a common theme lately (programs shafting affiliates).

From personal experience, I am trying my hand at a casino portal and have contacted various affiliate programs.

I contacted Brightshare (as I heard good things) and asked them for a certain amount of information I was looking to use for the reviews etc.

I was told to find the information myself! Whilst some of the information is available by searching, most of it needed further details which I requested to write a comprehensive review.

By contrast, sent the same request to 32Red who gave me the information quickly and were nice about it.

Huge contrast.

We had the same thing happen.
They wiped out the earnings when players closed their accounts.
Just self-exclusion/account closure.
They won't pay the commissions until at least three months have passed. I wish I had read this thread earlier.
