Managed to get a little play time in when VS came back online. However it was very flacky and fragile. Had to reload/refresh and clear DNS cache multiple times. Obviously it was an issue for others too. In the end, and after a couple of hours, in the middle of a spin, VS shat itself.

A page refresh greeted me with their Maintenance Holder Page, notifying the site wont be back up until around 06:00 AM CET. Contacted support who informed me it would be Sunday (tomorrow), before they are back online again.

No signups... least now you'll know why ;)

I thought a 12 hour upgrade window was a bit too optimistic, given what needs doing.

I find it hard to understand how the biggest casino on the planet can afford to intentionally go off-line for so many hours.

If someone were to give me the amount of money they lost by doing that I could probably retire here and now!

Probably bad planning...
Their IT guys promising something they can't deliver, by not accounting for Murphy and his laws :D

Agreed KK. With sooooooooooooooo much money inevitable lost, I can't understand why they wouldn't upgrade to a staging server(s) first, iron out all the bugs, then set it live. Albeit that might be a tad costly... BUT, this way there'd be next to no downtime. As it is now, with the casino unable to function, they're losing a heap of cash.

I'm sure far more than the outlay of staging server(s) etc.

They should have given the players a warning that the casino would go offline in X amount of minutes,
so that they can decide what to do, instead of just shutting it down without advance notice.

This sounds very fishy. Reminds me of casinos that disappear from one day to another.

When they came back online Saturday (around 6am CET), things were obviously not right. They were a long way from being right. I thought it must have been just me being in Australia, as they use CloudFlare, and that produces issues sometimes. Reiterating when they shut-it-down, figured it was affecting others too.

IMO they should have closed it down again straight away when it wasn't working properly. However that crapness was allowed to continued for a few hours until it got so unusable, something broke and made that decision for them.

They wouldn't have had any time to issue any warning.
But again, the casino should have been closed well before that time.

To be fair this was all unexpected downtime and there yes there was a plan in place 100% .

That plan was to go down only for the allotted updates and then back up starlight away after that
so any pro longed time down was just not expected at all and we didn't want to put the product back up
when it wasn't operating the way players have come to know and love.

Yes it was not ideal and we put our hands up for that it effected
everyone and we apologize again.

There was no Plan for it to stay down especially over the weekend that would make no sense to anyone.

We did put some news up on our new page to inform players that were we planning the downtime and we are compensating effected players with free spins etc as we want everyone to know that we feel their pain and shared it also it was no fun being a service agent this weekend for sure poor guys.

Apologies to the community and hopefully things are stable again and we wont have such an occurrence in the futile we live and learn
