Dear AGD members,

A few weeks back, our affiliate newsletter linked to our chronicle about the challenges a gaming operator faces with a website redesign project: THE BIG RED BUTTON « prk

Well, the biggest challenge is now behind and the wait is over.

NEW VIRGIN GAMES WEBSITES NOW LIVE (BETA)

The Virgin Games, Virgin Casino, Virgin Bingo, Virgin Poker websites have been fully re-structured, re-designed, re-painted, re-optimized, re-you name it… and are now live on a beta release. Check them out here: Casino Games, Virgin Games, Online Bingo, Poker, Slots or click on “new site” banners on our existing sites.

For a limited time, our visitors will be able to switch between the old and new sites. In a few weeks we’ll do away with the old site and fully embrace our new identity.

The purpose of the new design is threefold: engage through content, ease navigation, and increase conversions. It’s the customer-facing last piece of the unified wallet project that has enabled us, for the past few years, to pay you aggregated commissions on all your player’s activities, Casino, Bingo or Poker. Virgin Games prides itself with above average conversion ratios, hence explaining the comparative success of our affiliate endeavours, and yet we though more could we done on this front. Currently being worked on, our spanking new optimized registration funnel will be live in a couple of weeks. We can’t wait to see this bad boy in action, and so will you.

WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK / Get 100 V*POINTS + iPad 2 draw entry + £50 affiliate bonus

As a business partner, we’d like to know what you think of the new site design and navigation.

If you have a bit of time on your hands, please have a look around the sites and fill in our feedback survey here: Virgin Games Beta Site Survey. If you open a player account beforehand and add your player username to the survey, you will get 100 V*POINTS free + a chance to win an iPad 2. Additionally, the most comprehensive and constructive affiliate feedback report will also bag you a £50 affiliate bonus, added your affiliate commission.

To qualify for the £50 affiliate bonus, please state that you are one of our affiliates by adding “Affiliate username: [your affiliate username]” in section 12 of the survey, so we know who you are.
Already filled in the survey? Swifty you. Email us your player username and we’ll add you to the list.

AFFILIATE TRACKING?

Once more, nothing for you to worry about, we take care of everything. You do not need to change any of your tracking links when the existing sites are replaced by new versions: we’ll switch them over as soon as the beta period is over and switchover date has been agreed. We will of course let you know once done. For now, your players are still being directed to the old site. Tracking will follow seamlessly if they visit the new beta site on their way to registration.

If you have any questions in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact us affiliate[at]virgingames.com

The new site looks great -- nice job. :emoticon-0150-hands

If it is possible to add a subsection showcasing the newest games (like the old site had), that would be useful (to me, anyway). Also, an alphabetical list may be useful, along with an option to "view all" of the slots on one page. As it is now, users may have to click through up to 11 pages of slots to find a specific game they may be searching for.

That's my only suggestion.... Everything else seems really nice, and I'm glad the new version of the site is finally live. ;D

I said exactly the same thing in the feedback survey.

Great new site though - I really like it.

Good job!

We're getting this request from players too. No brainer, will make it to the site in the next few days.

I don't see why not. Leave it with me.

As it is now, users may have to click through up to 11 pages of slots to find a specific game they may be searching for.

Remember there is a fuzzy "game search" functionality on top right too, check it out if you haven't, it's the fastest shortcut to games.

Early days still, but we're getting overwhelmingly positive feedback from our players through the survey, with 41% rating their new site experience as "excellent" and another 40% as "good".

No need to say the most constructive comments come from affiliates :D

I love the look from the Bingo and Poker Sites, I think a progressive Jackpot ticker on the Casino Site would be nice also a latest winners list is something players like to see in my opinion.

They're both available on the homepage, right of the large "Join Now" button. Let me know if you can't see them.

What does the "SA" stand for in some of the jackpot names? e.g. "Pirate Plunder SA," "Clover Rollover SA," "Mafia Millions SA," etc. Super Awesome? So Amazing? ;)

South Africa? Spectrum Analysis? Smoothing Algorithm? Acronym finder (SA - What does SA stand for? Acronyms and abbreviations by the Free Online Dictionary.) won't help...In this context it actually means "Stand Alone", i.e. a Virtue Fusion powered jackpot that sits outside the VF Bingo client. Slight bug here, the feed is meant to pick up game name and not game description (which includes SA). Will schedule a fix for this, thanks.

For full list of games while you wait for new game search functionalities, check out our new sitemap: Site Map

Keep feedback coming, it's your chance to influence the way we present ourselves to the world and help towards optimizing your conversion rates even further.

Cheers,

Hi guys,

We've worked on your feedback and the "new games" section is now up.
Check it out: New Games, Virgin Casino, Best Online Slot Games

Links to this category page can be found on homepage and in main navigation.

Additionally, we've added a "new" graphic tag to all new games to make them clearly identifiable when browsing game category pages/filters/scrollers.

Extended game lists/filters/search functionalities are on our roadmap, but I believe the above fixes the most pressing issues you guys reported i.e finding new games.

Let me know.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you know the game list view has now been implemented on all our sites. Just switch from "grid view" to "list view" on the red games header and select your category of games (or all games) to get the full list in all its scrollable glory.

Oh, and the new site is now officially live :) For a few weeks, players will still be able to access the old site through the small "back to classic site" bottom link, after which we'll switch it off for good.

Cheers,
