It is very important that you go to the bwin presentation, not just the booth, but where they hold a presentation (should be in the conference schedule). There will be an audience of newbies they want to sign.

Please bring up the quota they just put in their T&Cs, and the fact that they reduce your comission to 5% once your player has played for two years.

It's important!

YES PLEASE - Someone please do go to see Bwin. IN fact the more people the better. It would be nice to get a number of people really showing up and putting pressure on them. The main issues are

1. 5% rule - after 3 years our commissions drop to 5%
2. 90 day rule (don't sign a player in 90 days your affiliate account is closed)
3. 3 months if your tracked player does not deposit you lose him (untagged)
4. You need to cash out your earnings within a year or lose it all.

Please also go over to GAU and vote on this.

The Gambling Affiliates Union

As i have said on various other places - This will set in motion a domino effect for all other Poker Sites to follow if we do nothing.

Thank you Steve. It's great to see you're keeping up with the GAU. It's also obvious that I'm failing to inform the members of AGD about the posts and polls at GAU. I'll do my best to be more attentive in the future.

Your welcome! We all have to work together, you can't do it alone on all the forums you would not get any sleep.

Keep up the great work, as it is really valuable to all of us in more ways than one.

I asked Daniel Arroyave, my account manager, if the T&Cs apply retroactively. His answer was a precise YES. So I wrote back that I will terminate the affiliate partnership and wanted to know their procedure.

He replied back saying "Our new system is much better with many more advantages for affiliates."

I have asked him to explain the advantages of promoting an operator who changes T&Cs retroactively, brings down the commission from players who are wagering for 3 years to 5%, and refuse to accept a player as a Paying Active if he does not make real money transfer to his account within 30 days.

I am looking forward to his explanations.;D

Here is Daniel's reply:

"I get your points. Unfortunately this 5% rev. share for life-time after 3 years cannot be negotiated, as it has been decided in this way for all our Affiliates. This is a new deal we propose and we want to have as our partners Affiliates that promote us extensively. The positive aspect of the new Affiliate program at Bwin, is that is the most transparent from the industry. It tells you exactly how your earnings are calculated, and you get cross-over revenue sharing for life.

When the first calculation of your revenues with the new T&Cs is done, we can analyze together the results, with the possibility of enhanced statistics tools from the new software. And we can take it up from there, to see what to do in order to keep being profitable as two business entities. What do you think about that?"

So 5% rev. share instead of 30% or so to enjoy "the possibility of enhanced statistics tools from the new software." An excellent deal indeed!

That is such a joke! Bwin wants us to promote them more, but gives us a 5% lifetime revshare. ha!!!

wow... that really makes me laugh. I feel sorry for BWin's current affiliates and will try to get a BWin forum up today with a nice big Predatory/Do Not Promote warning.

The promotional ones don't as far as I know, but all of the educational ones do and Alex posts regularly when they are available online. It usually take a bit after the conference ends before they become available.

My gawd, I'd love to have some of that weed that BWin is smoking! That has to be the imported stuff, we have good weed like that here as well but it is hard to come by..:p

@Yoni - No offense but I sort of found that post a little inappropriate to post in a thread where we are discussing Bwins Predatory Terms and Conditions. Many of us affiliates who promote Bwin are being really severely affected. We are simply going to lose revenue and that affects our bottom line.

While I appreciate your 50% rev share sell - It takes away from the seriousness of our thread here and kind of looks un classy on your part. Just my opinion.

If you want to contribute with us on your thoughts on whether the terms and conditions of Bwin are predatory please do so.

But don't sell to us here please!

So 5% rev. share instead of 30% or so to enjoy "the possibility of enhanced statistics tools from the new software."

I seriously wonder who thinks this stuff up. Can't possibly be human or if they are, they're smoking their socks for sure ;D

The Bwin T&C's read like an April Fools Joke. Fortunately I don't promote them but if I did, I'd be looking at taking out a class action to fight this in court.

It really is pathetic to see a company like this act is such an appalling manner. Shame on you BWin.com

For those interested I've added a post about this at:

Thanks for doing that Dave!!! Awesome!

One thing i wanted to maybe suggest. I know allot of people do not have time to seriously get involved in this scenario - but every little bit counts.

One way to help is listing something in your signature. Something that signifies you are in fact against the new Bewinners predatory terms and conditions.

I myself registered a domain specifically for this issue and am working on getting a professional writer to write about this particular case.

I plan to link (cross linking) with all other sites who are speaking up against this unjustice....

What i think would be extremely helpful is if everyone - as many people as possible create signatures in their accounts POINTING to an article that is listing Bwin as Predatory.

Whether it be a forum link or linking to another site such as GAU, Daves site, my new site ect... every little bit will count.

As an anchor text u could use terms such as

1. Predatory Affiliate Program
2. Scamming Affiliate Program
3. Stealing Affiliate Program

Anything that can get the message across that we are not in support in their new direction. Let the SERPS and GOOGLE help us here.

If you note in google and type in "bewinners" you will already see GAU on second spot with the TERM ALERT!

Lets fill GOOGLE UP with all kinds of negative publicity on the new bewinners program in order to try and put a stop to this.

Trust me folks - its for all our own good!
