The UK seems to just get more and more restricted. I am sure that it will not be long before the rest follow ... Big Swedish reg anoucement will be coming shortly also :/

........
The ASA and CAP also list types of content now deemed unacceptable in these ads, including animated characters, licensed characters from movies or TV and sportspeople and celebrities that are likely to be of particular appeal to children. References to youth culture are also prohibited.

Operators will also no longer be able to feature sportspeople, celebrities or other characters who are or appear to be under the age of 25 in their ads. (edited)

The new advertising rules will come into effect in the UK from April 1 this year.

I think this was long overdue and a welcome update.

I reckon it's over-the-top BS... PC gone mad. Thankfully I don't market to UK or EU. Hence, I'm saved from all the ongoing i dotting and t crossing. Pretty soon the UKGC will drive operators back into the grey markets. Least then affiliates wont have to worry about being shafted because of the 21% POC commencing April 2019.

I have recently launched a new website and it is a bit of a pain having to keep making changes for the UK market, I seem to getting emails every few days. One yesterday from BGO, we can no longer use call buttons that combine a synonym for gambling such like 'bet now' 'play now' instead they want theirs changing to 'join now'.
