The Worst Time of The Month

With a little under 12 hours to go - this is when I get crazy.
Is a player going to deposit a big chunk of change and get a big bonus and screw up my entire month? Wipe out all of my earning ?

Is a player going to Hit Big and screw up my entire month?

Does an aff program think, ' this guy has made too much lately, lets give some free bonuses to some fake players"

Is that sports player going to hit that 100.00 parlay at 30/1

All of these things have happened to me in the past, so now , unfortunately, I OCD click, update, watch - click, update, watch and repeat

Most often, you shouldn't have to worry about getting scammed with bonuses to fake players. If that's really at risk, you should re-evaluate who you're promoting.

Worry about what you can control, and let the rest happen

I hear ya frank - Seen it a few times before. Everything is fine and dandy and stats look OK. When the update for the LAST Day of the month is done, you get cleaned for almost 50% of what you had

Then I have some of my players cashing out on the last 2 days of the month to reduce my comm. It pisses me off and I also hate the month end wait. Then again, people also get paid at month end and its normal for them to deposit with the odd one winning a bit....

I do get a little nervous at the end of the month, but then again, there is nothing you can do about it, so I let it go.

If i could "so I let it go" BBB, I would, but I can't - been doing this for about 9 years seen it all and it all happens to on the last day of the month.


Oh but wait - they might have forgotten to update at 12:00 ( or the last time I checked) - and when you wake up in the morning with that fresh cup of coffee, click to make sure everything is OK and POW -

The month is almost over. Holding my breath But in Australia, it's already April.

Do what I do - I don't look at ANY stats until after the month has ended!
No stress, no worries and most months - a pleasant surprise or two!

As we're rather busy here, and going away for a while on Thursday, I probably won't look at my March stats until until around April-4th or 5th!

I'm long past worrying and checking avidly at month end. Shit happens - and stressing does you no good.
That doesn't mean that the odd expletive ( FFS! ) doesn't pass my lips when I find a late winner ... but I'm more zen about it.

It could be a lot worse - I could be working as a wage slave for a living!

I did get some laughs out of this, thanks Frank I don't mean that in a bad way - I have been there before, though! I do not check often at all anymore, though. Although, after I read this I did check my stats (statsremote) and noticed a nice increase in a program

My advice is with the rest - don't check very often. No need to raise your blood pressure!

You know, back in 2008 if I did not look religiously I would have been out $1200 as someone hacked 2 of my accounts.

First roughly $800 was stolen from one program into the hackers MB account but the program still paid me the money. The $1200+ at another program was saved because I happen to click over to my payment method when checking the stats, not really sure why I did that but my payment method was changed to an NT account.

Fortunately I emailed the AM and he said he just finished entering the affiliate payment info/amounts into a spreadsheet destined for the payments department. It was that close.

I have a couple of programs that pay weekly so im never to far in, and then I have some programs with terrible odds that usually come up good, and if a bonus is given its usually a positive as it needs to be rolled over or some other requirement before cash out.

I stress out checking endlessly until the end, and then i start worrying about the next month. It is a curse, my suffering to bear, but it does motivate me to work harder. I suppose after a few more years in this game I would start to relax a bit more.

I almost always check my stats first thing in the morning on the last day of the month.. Total them up (to get ready to put in my ending numbers for the month - record keeping) then the last few hours of the night (everything usually close out around 9PM my time) Ill go out for a nice dinner and a few drinks... Come back after the end of the month has closed, recheck stats and make any adjustments to my numbers.. and hope I end a little higher then my morning numbers.. Have been doing this every month for almost a year now.. Couldn't stand sitting at home pressing refresh anymore!
