Star Partner Going Around Affiliates

So everyone knows times are tough and companies are doing some stupid things to save on cost but this to me is the most stupidest and dishonest thing to do!

I was reading the thread at GPWA Star Partner GPWA Sponsorship Suspension - Page 4 - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association and seen a few affiliates talking about a certain mailer that was sent out to players with an obvious embedded company tracking btag so I decided to check my own links and banners out with a fine tooth comb.

So this is what I found..
Player clicks on my banner and is directed to goldenrivieracasino(DOT)com/index.asp( viewed source code and found my btag is in order), then I seen the handy peel add in the right corner and clicked that vegaspartnerlounge(DOT)com/halloween_games_10.asp view source code and still my tag is in order to this point BUT now I click on that handy download link in the center of the page which brings me to the vegas partner home page of ..vegaspartnerlounge(DOT)com/index.asp thinking right this is great players can choose any casino from here and I will have them tagged to me playing at other VP brands, so I clicked Crazy Vegas from there to play as a player. I should not have been shocked to see this as the btag code when I viewed the source code...

Thoughts everyone? Am I wrong to think the cookies should have tracked all the way through this link path to my btag? I am not surprised by this and am ordering the replacement of all these banners and links with Rewards Affiliates and other brands whom I know do NOT cheat out the affiliates!!

well it sounds like a confusing navigation however the bottom line is are these downloads and signups tracking with your affiliate id?

The peel ad has changed to a charity event I tested this out again and followed all the way through the same steps and guess what the end result btag is?? btag=xxx.vegaspartnerlounge[dot]com/charity.asp'

This company has high rollers and whales falling into that great blue abyss more then any other out there! They forget to renew domains all the time, they have changed affiliate sites and urls more then any other program out there ! When a company is constantly changing aff programs and making affiliates change the links they have on all sites it tells me they are cleaning house washing out the non active affiliates! Please look at the history here folks this company is smelling of trouble!!

I did receive a mail from tehm this morning.

We have Great News to share with you!

In light of recent events and posts put up on various sites, we have re-evaluated our policies regarding mailers and newsletters and found a solution to a problem that seems to have slipped into the woodwork. It has come to our attention that some players may have gone untagged when they moved to another casino within our group due to mailers or newsletters that they received. This is understandable as we have over 88 casinos in our brand!

WHAT HAPPENED

We have audited the history of our data-base and found a solution that benefits everyone. It was an arduous task, and we have given many affiliates the benefit of the doubt with regards to past players.

As always, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile and therefore, any past earnings due to you, based on the above exercise, will be added to your October earnings.

From now on, ALL GROUP MAILERS WILL BE TAGGED.

If a player downloads a casino as a result of any internal communication, they will be mapped to the tag of the last casino where they played. Thus, the tag of the last played account will be allocated to the player on the new brand.

I don't promote any of their properties but if I did, I'd be doing as bonustreak is, a yank and replace.

What Star Partners allowed to happen is just underhanded and rotten.

Really giving us the affiliates who did NOTHING wrong the benefit of the doubt? Sorry that is an insult and slap in the face and PLEASE address this peel ad and why are you not giving the credit to affiliates all the way through your long trail of linking ads upon ads once we the affiliate send you a player to your sites?
