The minute you unsubscribed from their link you signed up to a new spam list.

That ass-clown (low life spammer) onlinegamblingbonuses DOT org tried to flog that site here for sale + the 150K database.

I'm getting hammered too.
Strangely, my emails that get hit the most, are not used for anything other than a small number of affiliate programs (5 max) or have been used to sign-up at legit casinos. That number is around 6 or 7 max.

These email addresses are not like myblackcat AT, they are pretty unique ;)

Can't help shake the idea, that some casinos are exchanging player data, selling it or they themselves have affiliate accounts and spam.

As I've said many times before... Nothing in this industry surprises me anymore - makes the p#rn industry look like a teddy bear's picnic!

I'm able to block domain level sending ... but often the sending email is faked and then it becomes a lot tougher to bounce.

I can do that too, the benefits of having a VPS or your own server :)

One trick they've been using a lot later, is by using the receivers email as the senders. This creates a whole lot of problems, especially if your using 'Box Trapper' for example. Which tbh ain't a great idea because of the secondary problem it creates, with backscatter. That can get your domain blacklisted :(

I was going to signup for a business email filtering program but we're in the casino industry and while I get spammed heavily, I also get legit casino emails sent to these addresses.

I've tried setting up exclusion rules and filters but then the spammers change to using images with embedded links. It's hard and extremely frustrating to keep a step ahead of this scum.

WOW... You kept that fetish well hidden :p

Seriously, I guess it works a lot like the Referback/Wagershare merger (aka takeover)!

I know a friend of mine who sets up different email addresses for EVERY communication outlet they ever deal with e.g. buying something from an online shop.

What he finds: Loads of online casino companies, the majority in jurisdictions where they cannot be chased down under spam laws (like Israel, Carribean Islands etc), spam him on these addresses. The only way this can happen is for people at these companies illegally leaking email address and other data, or by the casino companies actively buying this data.

He even signed up to William Hill, only to find the email address he used for William Hill then got used hundreds of times through other casinos not related to William Hill! He contacted William Hill and told them that this was a unique email address, used only once to set his account up, and they just swept over his complaint. My point: data gets passed very easily between friends of friends and between companies, money is exchanged, and it's all illegal.

Anyone who believes casinos don't use dubious tactics or other methods to gain players by any means, is kidding themselves. Sure they all have anti-spam statements and claim to never sell or trade personal information BUT players receive spam to email addressed only ever used for 1 or 2 casinos, then info is being leaked - traded, exchanged, sold or leased. No doubt about it!
