SMS TXT Spam

I'm getting hammered practically on a daily basis, with sms txt's to my mobile phone, by an affiliate, flogging GoWild Casino. Worse, the number is hidden, and this spammer is using Words... Hence, I can't block the damn number. The letters convert to a phone number - international keypad number. But, those letters can have multiple numbers associated to them.

If I can't get GoWild to take action and have this crap stopped, then I'll simple make a formal complain to acma.gov.au, who will take it up with the MGA where GoWild (parent company) is licensed.

Thanks for the quick response, however something is amiss here.

As you may know, GoWild has pulled out of the Australian market some months ago, hence we have no control over the acquisition efforts taken by gwcasino.

As a point of reference, so we're both on the same page. When I visit GoWildCasino.com (from an AU IP) I'm redirected to gwcasino.com/en/, which btw both domains (along with gwcasinostage.tech) all share the same cloudflare data.

But when I visit GoWildCasino.com from a New Zealand IP, I'm not redirected.

Telling me GoWildCasino is not responsible for this spam, is garbage.

They way I read it - they have actually admitted that the spam IS from them!

I didn't read it like that.

How I read it was:

1. GoWildCasino.com no longer accept AU players. However, they also own/operate GWCasino.com, which currently DOES accept AU players.
   
2. Stated they have NO CONTROL over "acquisition efforts".

Lets flagged this for what it truly is...SMS Casino Spam, to a banned country.

This comes from an entity (ownership etc., etc) who, on face value, one would think they've adhered to the Australian Government Gambling Ban, and exited the AU Marketing. Yet, digging deeper, they've simply changed tactics. Albeit from a different domain and casino platform, BUT this entity, company etc., etc., still accept AU players.

P.S.
IMHO prohibition never works - the AU GIA is exactly that.
Sending SMS Spam is unethical, and is a criminal offense here in Australia. So that's two (2) Australian Federal Laws GoWildCasino et al are in breach of... Classy
