I want to know what you all think. Should Gambling Companies Tell a Player which affiliate sent them if the player asks?

Voted yes. Website URL is ok - names are not.

What Vladi said is pretty good if you ask me. It wasn't a secret to them to begin with - they just forgot what website they were on when they clicked the banner. In a real casino if you get lost and want to find the way you came in, they tell you - its not a big deal. :)

I voted with the majority on this.
I would also like to add that if the casino is concerned about the affiliate's privacy, they could always contact him or her first, to confirm it's ok to disclose the info.

After reading all of the comments here, i voted yes and agree with everyone else, yes, its alright to say which website, however, no need to know enployee's real names and any other info, but website or URL is fine.

I voted that I don't care. However - that is with 1 caveat. If a player asks which affiliate sent him, then I think it is ok for the program to give over that information. There is no reason not to (IMO).

I voted yes.

No good reason for NOT shareing this info with players.

In my country it is not 100% legal to play at online casinos. Therefore I don't like affiliate programs to give over my personal details. Website/URL is okay! I voted yes, anyway.

Why?

I think this all boils down to: "what is the customer thinking?"

Most people buy a new car for one of two reasons
1. the color
2. they like the salesman

If I hit your portal the last thing on my mind is "who is this guy?"

I came to gamble not socialize. I think we spend too much time thinking of what we want as web hosts instead of thinking "What does our customer really want?"....."and why is he here and what is HE thinking?"

I agree with most, no problem with giving web address, as most have email/contact form to contact owner, but not name address etc.
