IMHO: Absolute complete waste of web-space... :(

I promoted them from May 2007, but dumped them in April this year after earning only $20 in 6 MONTHS.
The final nail in their coffin was when they increased their bonus WRs from x30 (like the majority of MG casinos) to x50.
Totally useless.

Very good program, originally set up by Microgaming themselves. They can be difficult to convert if you are marketing to experienced players because they have some of the oldest casinos around and the older players have seen them all.

They may be a trusted program and all, but I am pretty sure they credit the original affiliate on a conversion if that player has an account at any of their properties. If I remember correctly basically one affiliate owns the player across the board. For me personally I want to get paid when I sell a player on a particular casino, not have the program pay someone else for my efforts because that affiliate converted them 5 years ago at one of their other casinos.

So they are great for veteran affiliates who have been pushing them for years, not so great for a new affiliate trying to grow a player base. I guess they might be a good fit if you target the complete online gambling virgins who are just starting out playing. Then you don't have to sweat losing conversions to other affiliates if the player already had an account with one of their other casinos.

That being said looking back I wish I was one of those affiliates who has been pushing them hard for the past 5 years. I would probably be singing a different tune then.

Wow is this true? Can someone officially confirm this?

Well, I would be such an affiliate, but Referback has not performed for me for some time now, while I have a huge player base. New players have no value it seems - and I specialize in good value players.

All other micros I promote are still performing fine for me - with new players as well as old.

Just this month I decided to move them to bottom positions - this after promoting them for almost 10 years.

So, while it is true that once a player is yours at Referback, s/he will remain so, it doesn't seem to make any difference. If I was to get any benefit from that - I sure don't see it. I regret having built a player base there. I would have been much better off with Fortune or Brightshare or Wagershare or others. And they don't have this rule at all.

I never did any good with them when I was promoting to US traffic; way before the UIGEA came into force. However I've recently picked them up again (July 2011) and I seriously can't fault them.

Albeit 1'st month 1 banner on home page (above fold) but that made me $565.

Although some affiliates don't like the idea of once a player is tagged that player is assigned to the original affiliate who first tagged them. However I rather like that solution.

With my vast experience of 11 years in this game, asking if a program is honest before promoting their gaming properties is a good idea. However asking if it converts is a waste of time.

Call it fuzzy logic but just because a casino converts on site A doesn't mean it will convert on site B. Whilst it can be a PITA, running tests are IMO the only way to see what actually works for your site.
