I'm trying to find out what banner to choose and maybe what works best, in general.

What banner works best for you? What is your typical banner size you chose?

Good question. I tend to use 468x60 and 728x90. I have used many others as well, including text links.

Overall - probably 468x60 for me, but that's because I use them way more than anything else

I tend to use 234 x 60 the most since I add them to my article/reviews.

I rarely use banners, but when I do, I used to grab 468x60 and 125x125 and they have to be non-flashy, I prefer those that have 2 max 3 stages cycling through.

I like the instant games I can insert into my websites and I also like progressive tickers.

Should add more sizes. I usually use 120x60 468x60 120x240, sometimes 728x90, 125x125, 250x250 or 300x250. I don't use other sizes.

No flash, always images.

What I don't like about a lot of the banners is that they are made so damn heavy as in their "bytes size". If I like one that is heavy weighted then I will save it and further optimize it or change it to .jpg instead of the normal .gif to make it less heavy so it does not slow down the page from loading fast.
