Glad I didn't signup here. hassle city! and CBG is right, most have company policies in place about signing up player accounts.
PS: Ive never been asked for a passport or national ID in 16 years.

how a program can pay me is the very first thing I look at when choosing a program, if that's not a go not much else matters.

Hi All,

Good afternoon. As I've already informed in my previous post:

The verification process must be done for affiliates as well, as it is part of the LGA license’s regulations.
Some other programs already do this too.
Furthermore - Those who do not follow this rule are simply breaching their LGA license agreement, of which we have no intention to do at all, as a legitimate business we observe the LGA rules and follow them very strictly.

@ WCD Admin - Corporations / Companies - have Owners/Shareholers/CEOs . [ ie; are owned / run by people ]

Kind Regards,
Lucas

I think you are saying that corporations have to give the details of their owners? That doesn't seem right to me. That's not how laws work anywhere I have heard of. I'm not trying to sound negative, but maybe have a lawyer read up on those LGA regulations - I doubt this was their intention.

Hi Andy,

Good afternoon. :)

We are only following the regulations, and anyone can contact LGA (info@lga.org.mt) for all questions they may have regarding this matter, as this is nothing we can do anything about anyways.

Thanks again.

Kind Regards,
Lucas

That's the point I was trying to make earlier. No "legitimate" business will hold funds hostage until the CEO of the company owed provides a personal utility bill and a personal photo ID. That isn't how businesses work.

well, they are highly 'legitimate'. Just following the 'letter of the law', IMO. I'll follow up with LGA to see if I can get their perspective. Hopefully they will talk with me :)

But... VideoSlots Affiliates are one of the best programs out there... hands down.

So the LGA says it's okay to accept real money players from countries where online gambling isn't strictly regulated (e.g. Canada), but it's not okay to pay your marketing partners unless they open themselves up to identify theft by emailing a copy of their passport? Hmm.

VideoSlots Affiliates are one of the best programs out there... hands down.
 Well, I'll have to disagree with this for now, until they resume paying their business partners without blackmailing them.

We understand that this may be inconvenient for some, although unfortunately those are the rules.

As said already - If anyone has any questions for the LGA, you may contact them directly.

Thanks again.

Lucas

Good luck to anyone attempting to contact the LGA directly. From what I've seen after doing some quick searching, they ignore almost everyone who attempts to get in touch with them.

Since you must have a copy of the LGA rules, can you please copy and paste the relevant part of the regulations that outline the requirements for paying other businesses?

Do the regulations allow the other business to hold a copy of your passport and utility bill as well?

Speaking at a business owner I think articles of incorporation should be sufficent ID for them without needing to see my passport or drivers license. But this thread is probably an accurate snapshot of what a regulated market looks like.Just try to get a license in USA and you will see how much you are exploited in the application process. So I guess individuals have to access for themselves if exposing your ID is worth the financial gain to work with a program.Personally I do not have any issue to show my passport and utility bill to get paid but that is for each individual to decide.

I'm not sure "exploited" is the proper word, that lends itself to questionable ethics.

The difference between, lets say, sending proof-of-id to the Nevada Gambling Board, as apposed to some casino affiliate program, the people receiving this private data at the aff program (unlike Nevada Gambling Board officials), it's likely they've NOT been personally vetoed and cleared for police checks with interpol etc etc.

I'm not trying to stir up sh#t but merely stating a few things people should take into consideration, when sending ID docs to unkown people or companies. Who knows who has access to this information!

And I should add, given that Fortune Affiliates is part of Digimedia Group, who has held a gaming license in Malta (LGA) since 16'th June 2010, I've never been asked to provide proof of ID here. Some months my aff payments exceed $10K

Another reason why I think Lucas is BS'ing us!

So too is VideoSlots but who knows who owns that. Don't see them sending affiliates (business partners) their ID; private address etc etc, do we!

This should be a topic elsewhere, but I honestly like that idea. I would be happy if they even shared who they were ... most of the times nobody has a clue who actually runs the companies. (now... this should really be another topic somewhere else, feel free to create one)
