Seems the best way to get to the # 1 position on Google is too not play by the rules these days.
Did a search for "online slots" on google.com
In the # 1 organic position was a url for a company digitalnow.com.au which has nothing to do with gambling at all.
There are many other similar hijacks in search results for other gambling keywords similar to below example.
The cloak hacks or whatever i should call them comes from best-casinos-australia.com & he uses Wagershare, Referback, Fortune & Winner affiliates as his preferred choice of partners.
The title & meta read
The Very Latest Online Slots from Down Under
digitalnow.com.au/‎
Sample all of the latest Slot releases now available to Australian gamers. FREE play to get to know games before making a deposit to win REAL CASH prizes.

If you click on the result up comes the page below

Report it, its an obvious hack.

However I guarantee you that no site that gets on the first page for a generic term like "online slots" or "online casinos" is ever "playing by the rules".

This has been going on for ages, the serps are messed up and have been since google started fiddling.

It's just just hacked sites either - the current #1 for 'online casinos' is a webeden site with 2 pages indexed and just a butt load of links. Guessing they ride it until its banned and then move on to another one.

Yet the casinos being promoted on these sites don't know who is or who are behind it

Do you really thing they care about that (blackhat)?

There was an affiliate stealing massiv content from my website. All the program said was "we told him to stop stealing from your site". lol. luckily google did punish him.

By the way I googled "online slots" myself. miniurl.com on first site! wtf (see screenshot)

If someone cares, here are the affiliate-links of 'blackhatted' digitalnow.com.au:

A big lol at suggesting an affiliate program would care.

They are happy to get traffic from a site ranking for online slots.

The problem for affiliates intending to "play by the rules" is that you're competing with an unending, constantly refreshed pool of blackhat types willing to bomb the hell out of google. Once one gets knocked off, another using the latest "trick" takes their place. And so on.

Aff programs will likely continue to display varying levels of disinterest in the situation for the reasons cited above.

This sort of thing (along with email spam) is a win-win for the affiliate program. They get the referred traffic and players. If they are dishonest and don't care, they pay the affiliate and continue to enjoy the referrals. On the other hand if they do shut the affiliate down, they get all the previously referred traffic for free. Either way they can't lose.

Wow this boy gets around ! search keywords "online casino bonus" # 1 organic spot - top job again. This is the same exact same hacker affiliate - just a different domain to the one i first mentioned aka best-casinos-australia.com, seems he always uses the same affiliates in his recipe for success. If & when Google catch up with his methods lets hope they take to him & anyone in his circle of friends with no TLC.

here is another hacked search page, is number one for casino bonus on one of my precious spots, fuckers..

Online Casino Bonus

offending affiliate is using the site xxxx://best-game-experience.com/

If you think the google.com results are bad you should see the google.co.uk results.. Someone is having a field day and they all redirect to lookuponlinecasino.com or this thecasinoguidebook.com/slots/

slotonlineslotsgamesmachinemachines.co.uk
onlineslotsslotmachines2.co.uk
greatonlinecasinoslots.co.uk
slotmachinegamessonlinefreebx.co.uk

literally hundreds of them covering all keywords.

Lately I see a lot of week, new websites (days or weeks old) with no pagerank and almost no content (1-5 pages) on top of search results. I am not saying they are all "blackhatting", because most of them look amateurish. I think google is screwing up!

Google is definitely screwing up, but someone is taking major advantage. Where have I heard of this DigitalNow? And why is Wagershare using them?
