Hi, it will depend on where you are planning on promoting too. Most of the world you don't. If you plan on promoting regulated US operators then you will need a license to operate in most states.

Hi, it will depend on where you are planning on promoting too. Most of the world you don't. If you plan on promoting regulated US operators then you will need a license to operate in most states.

If you currently needed one in the UK, bettingappguide would have said so ;)

There are however rumours afoot where, like the USA, UK may, at some later date, enforce mandatory affiliate licensing. This hasn't happened as yet.

However, here's some free advice (FYI I've been a casino affiliate for 20 years); possibly for you some priceless information... Forget the UK. It's over saturated.

Actually the entire industry is over saturated. Way to many igaming operators. Affiliate programs are becoming more and more cut-throat, or worse, simply closing their doors and not paying affiliates.

As a newbie your competing against affiliates with years of experience in the game. Being a productive affiliate, who makes a consistent and decent high 4 figure income each month, will take you at least two (2) years of hard work, working @ least 10 hours a day. Sometimes 7 days a week.

Fact... If it was easy everyone would be doing it ;)

Fact... Out of 100 newbies who commence today, only 2, maybe 3 will still be doing in 12 months time. The majority throw the towel in, within, the 1'st 3 - 6 months.

Edit:
Don't wish to come across as being hash or cruel. But reality is, being an igaming affiliate in 2020 isn't the cash cow it once was. It's bloody hard work. Seasoned affiliates like myself and others, who, years ago wouldn't have any trouble obtaining 300+ new depositing players per month, now, at times, struggle to get 20. We've got years of experience.

Really, what hope does a newbie have :(

I'm not posting all this to protect my income or something. I'm merely providing you with a truthful reality-check. Of course you have the free-will to ignore my advice and pursue your new business idea.

However, if things go pear shaped, and you find it too hard to continue, or burn money trying. Remember, I did try to warn you!
