Thank you for providing this resource and helping newbies.

I am just getting started and plan to market to Australia and New Zealand. I am experienced when it comes to tech but very green with affiliate marketing.

I have just built my site and am preparing to fill it with content now :) Question is which casinos to go with.

My site: onlinecasinoassistant.com

I would appreciate any constructive criticism of my site.

I initially signed up with Buffalo Partners however during testing of Gaming Club and Spin Palace I became somewhat unhappy with their aggressive marketing approach to new players. Reading that they are rogue listed here has further damaged my confidence in them. Should a newbie sign up with them?

So far Leovegas, Mr Green, 32Red, Guts, Casino Cruise and Come On seem like good options.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I can give you a little constructive criticism about your site... Your main page needs content :) It needs to be clear to anyone landing on it what they are seeing and why... Just the two map images would make me almost instantly close the window and move to the next site.

I like the idea, its unique (from most gaming sites) and I like that.. I think you just need to build upon it..

Thanks RyanWeb for the feedback. My thoughts were that in Australia Google would link to onlinecasinoassistant.com/australia rather than the home page so web browser would go straight to that. For offline marketing then people can just type in the address and select their country. What are your thoughts?

Definitely DO NOT promote Buffalo - they have some very affiliate unfriendly terms, hence their roguing here.
(I'm stuck with them due to income from historical players going back 9 years - but if that falls away, they're history!)

It's hard to say who will work best for you; for example, MrGreen is a very good and highly rated casino, but they do crap-all for me, despite my best efforts.
Full Cream Affiliates have a Aussie targeted casino called G'Day which might work well for you.

Thanks KasinoKing,

I've been reading the forum the past couple of days and your posts are really helpful.

Thanks I might try G'Day.

Had to send two emails explaining to an affiliate manager at Mr Green that Australian banks do not have IBANs and haven't heard from them since lol so not too sure about starting off with them.

Another question for anyone, how anonymous do most affiliates stay on their sites? I guess first name is OK.

The issue about the landing page can easily be resolved by geotargeting I think.
On rogue casinos: I think you should stay away from them as a rookie on the field, because they may grant your site bad rep. Like if a player signs up through you and gets his first withdrawal denied, he/she probably will never use your site again.

Thanks Casino Strategy,

That is a good point you make. I want good times for both my players and my business!

In regards to the domain structure I have the following options:
au.onlinecasinoassistant.com
onlinecasinoassistant.com/australia
onlinecasinoassistant.com/au

I am swinging towards onlinecasinoassistant.com/au as this seems to be the way a lot of corporations do it. I would appreciate advice here.

I agree with the /au. It is fairly universally understood in the same way that /us is.

As far as your site, looks like you are moving in a good direction - just keep going and remember, content creation is king.

Thanks Guard Dog,

I will go with /au.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I've just been focusing on building the actual site now I'm ready to get stuck into content :)

For content, you could make the homepage a simple about us type of page. Who we are and what we represent, and then go into choosing your country. The problem I see with your approach is in terms of links... If you are in for the long haul, and obtain any links naturally, such as if another site mentions yours they are likely to link to your homepage.

yup pictures of the two countries looks a little bland.. is there a reason why you split NZ? Most aussie products are NZ friendly and you are using a .com anyhow?

Cheers Ryan,

I will look at revising my approach. My rationale was that I wanted the default page to be a country selector dialog rather than a page with info so that people just move along and click straight away. You make a good point re natural links. The other option is to use a script to automatically direct browser to appropriate page?

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the feedback.

My reason for splitting NZ from AU is for SEO purposes, give users a better experience and to give specific country info e.g. I'm able to add in info about AU gambling and laws if I want. I can also add more countries later on when I'm a boss lol ;-)

Frank,

I wanted to also add that I'm keen to hear what you think I should do, create a single site?
