What does everyone think of Mr. Green's new site? When you arrive on the site now, the first thing you need to do is pick a country. IMO, this step should not even be necessary. The better thing to do would be to detect the country and send the visitor to their country-specific page, and if they want to change the language, let them do that by clicking a flag at the top of the page. Once you choose a country, you land on a subdomain called storefront.mrgreen.com. At this point, you might expect to see which games are available, but this is not the case. Instead, you can read about the history of slots, roulette, etc, or you can hand over your email address. There are 6 slots listed on the "storefront" homepage, with a link to view more, but that link just takes you to another signup page. I think it feels way too pushy and aggressive now, and I don't think visitors are going to like it. Does anyone think forcing people to hand over their email address before showing them anything useful may actually improve conversions? Would you ever hide your own content behind a login screen? Maybe it's worth doing an experiment, but my instinct tells me it would be a bad idea and that most people would just leave.
