New Domain or Subdomain

Hi guys, I have a questions how to deal with the domain name for Spanish market.
Main domain (two words) language is in English, but domain name is understandable also in Spanish.
Which option would you recommend from SEO and trustworthiness point of view and why?

• es.maindomain.com
• spanishdomainname.com

I did both. Main market: US/AU, but I've added RU.* subdomain + registered ru*domain to test another SEO strategy. If your main domain is a strong one, I would go with the subdomain!

subdomain 100%. You'll get a nice headstart with the age, authority and link juice from it.

Thanks. The main domain is only 3 months old, the traffic is taking off slowly, so we decided use spanishdomainname.com instead of subdomain. Let's see how it will go.
