Hi guys,

Is it just me, or are we now forced to use the new version of NetRefer? I actually prefer the old version since Im used to it and up until recently it hasnt been any problems. But a week ago upon logging in I automatically started to enter the new version of NetRefer and now I see that some programs even started to remove the link at the bottom of the page that says "switch to old version".

You still can switch.

The new design is awful. It's invented by some joker making Powerpoint-presentations and Dashboard at management-level. Without consulting the end-user.

However, it has one big plus. You're not forced to accept change in terms.

But the point is, I can't switch back anymore on some programs and recently I'm also forced into v2.0 when logging in, when a week ago my default log in page was always v1.0.

No one asking us what WE as affiliates think about these changes. NetRefer officially sucks now.

I've just spent a lovely morning being forced to change passwords on loads of NetRefer programs that all seem to have upgraded. So far I've found that...
  • Despite the fact affiliate programs store personal and financial information most still don't use SSL in this day and age. Come on numbskulls, certificates are cheap or even free if things are that tight.
  • The shitty password validation code doesn't work properly. If you use a character it doesn't like (without it ever telling you what is or isn't acceptable) it gives you a misleading error message telling you that you must use letters and numbers. No shit sherlock, I use a password randomiser that does that and more. So I get to play random password bingo over and over until it generates one that the form will accept.
  • The piece de resistance is that idiotic 60 second requirement between logins that has been doing my head in for years. So I try to login, it tells me to reset the password which I do eventually after finding one that it will allow, then it redirects me back to the login screen which then errors out because the 60 second counter only started after I changed the password. WTF is the thinking behind this stupid 60 seconds between logins rule? If they are worried about brute force password guessing then limit it to 5 logins per hour or something, not 1 in 60 seconds which prevents you from logging back in straight after you are logged out or reset your password.
I can only conclude that the morons that write this software don't even test it in any real world scenarios.

The new version and forced to use it sucks! I also get different numbers on earnings - The numbers on main dont match the numbers on monthly earnings -report. I have started to see deposits on some programs - thats something i would like to get on all programs!

I'm seeing some strange behaviour too. Numbers doesn't match up to old version and on one program where I have well over 500 players the earnings hasnt moved even one cent in days, which is highly unlikely.

As far as I know all links are the same. Shouldn't need to change anything, well not been told to
Thanks, but no one was told they were updating the system either so might switch to new ones just in case !!!

There had been a banner for about 6 months at the top when you log in saying about the new interface and asking if you wanted to try it in beta

I thought I was already using their new platform because you could switch between the two versions. But hey let us have another version

Is there any way we can convince the casinos to drop NetRefer you think? This interface is just so bad and when there was still a chance to switch between the two versions I noticed the numbers didn't even add up.

I would think a casino would only consider switching to other affiliate software, if the licensing fees are lower. I wonder what Netrefer charges.
