Whilst the industry is quite secretive, it would be nice to organise a local iGaming group to meet regularly (monthly or so) and discuss the industry, SEO, affiliate deals, and so on.

If there are many of these already, let me know where to find them :)

I've toyed with the idea of some kind of meet up for London affs for many years but never actually done anything about it. There are quite a few of us here I think.

Not sure why but I am very awkward in conferences. Too big, too many people, it's easy to be in a corner and let everything unfold before my eyes. Lots of boasting in the very few encounters I had in conferences.

On the other hand, focused meetups have been amazing to me worldwide. People are more genuine, more vulnerable, more sharing, and more caring. If not, they're not welcomed back in the group.

We should... Doesn't need to be a massive deal each time, can just be a monthly catch up where everybody helps and gets help – or simply shares/bounces off ideas and pain points.

Well.. The first conference does feel awkward.
When I was an affiliate my moto was "you do not do business with your account managers"

You go with at least one friend.
You only do business with new casinos.

You enjoy the location. Amsterdam is the perfect balance for business and pleasure

I think what the OP is after is a bit different to a conference where everyone is on business mode and either trying to sell you something or get into a pissing contest. Same with the seo event.

The way I read it is that you're after something a bit more casual? Eg: Few beers with other local affs outside of any kind of formal setting.

I would be happy to chat at a casual event, say outside of LAC next year (if there is one, and if I attend!)
But unless there are loads of affs living within about 10-15 miles of you, then I don't think monthly meet-ups are ever going to happen.

I only live 60 miles from London, but sorry, I'm not travelling up there just for a beer & a chat!

Exactly! Such a setup just births more genuine exchanges, I find...
