Don't you just hate it when lazy webmasters steal your exclusive bonus codes. The dumb bastards don't realize that my exclusive bonus code only works if the sign up followed one of my referral links.

Can you get them to tag all players who sign up using that code to you? Job done.

^That is what I was thinking. This should actually mean some free traffic and customers for you if the program is able to track customers through the bonus code.

I would not expect much from these sites. They are promoting the ultimate selection of crooked online casinos. Considering that no-deposit players generally tend to be inexperienced with online casinos, I am sorry for these customers.

I'd be contacting your AM and asking exactly that. All signup registered with that bonus code, be tagged to you.

TTR Partners and a few other aff programs, will pay the copyright holder of scraped content, if the players signup via that page. Given this is an exclusive BC, I don't see why you shouldn't receive ALL player signups who use this code.

Surely the promo code would not work under that affiliates tracking code, as it is unique to your account.
Or am I wrong, if it does not work then the punter is highly unlikely to visit the dodgy site again.

I checked one of his blog and in the About Us, he writes as is checks for more than 50 websites every day, where he steals bonus codes and seems to be very proud of that.

I did think about that then decided it would be a complete waste of time. IMO bonus hunters don't generally generate much income.

I'll chat to my aff manager on Monday but not really worried about it too much at the moment.

You're correct, this is an exclusive bonus code so it will only work if the signup came through my aff link.

Thanks Dave but I don't have time to chase after these bottom dwellers at the moment.

I tend to agree but... On the same token, I've seen players who signup and low roll for a few months, then Wham Bam... Their dropping big bucks. These days (imo) with it being harder to get players, every missed opportunity or every scum bag stealing our hard work etc, could be that 1 player who is a whale in disguise ;)

When I ran a bonus site, I got some pretty decent players at Villento. That was a long time back, but I probably hauled in $20k over that year with them. That's more than the typical bonus hunter and it happens.

We had the same issue, and had to shut down some affiliate accounts that continually posted other partners bonus codes, despite repeated requests to stop doing so.

We tried everything from offering their own exclusive codes, to threatening to suspend the account, but nothing got a response so we were left with no choice.

It's extremely unfair that when affiliates and operators spend so much time negotiating exclusives that the codes end up on someone else's blog. Even more frustrating is the fact that, because we tie these codes down to the specific partner, we end up with a lot of unhappy customers on live chat wondering why the code they found doesn't work (and sometimes threatening to report us for false advertising, even though we didn't advertise the code ourselves).

I suggest that if you see your code on these blogs to give your relevant affiliate manager a heads-up so we can try to do something about it :)

Rachel.
