Hi guys,

Its been a long time since I launched a new affiliate site, but 2 days ago slot-games.net went live yay! The websites has a 'fresh' layout and I tried to visualize the excitement when you play slots to maximize the cravings of the visitors.

There are still things on my to-do list like writing content for more video slots, and reviews for casinos etc., but that's so time consuming when you do it alone :) But the most important aspects are finished! Oh and I develop a separate mobile version, so dont pay attention to the responsiveness.

If you have feedback, please let me know!

Hi coenie, congrats on your new website.
I had a quick look, and I find the background to busy. It is sure a nice idea to have the nice slot symbols there, but all the colors and many symbols is just really busy imo.
But maybe that's just me. Might be others like it.

Thanks for your reply Bonus Paradise :) I do like the background because it looks playful and fun, I try to visualize the excitement when playing slots. If more people think the same, I might try a single color background. Maybe an interesting experiment!

I like your logo, I believe this logo says it all already and it would have more effect without the image background you use.
As said, just my opinion :)

I like the logo as well.. simple, nice. I don't mind the background myself, but I can see where one might find it ultra-busy as well. Good work.

Thanks Guard Dog, really happy with the logo aswell. A designer on Warriorforum designed the logo.

Looks very much like slotmadness.com but not bad at all. I don't find the background to distracting, I actually like the way it looks.

Online18casino, thanks for your reply :) Yes thats right, the background was inspired from the Slotmadness.com. I bought the images from a stock image site myself and designed the background.

Thanks all,

Coen

Aesthetics aside (because that's a personal opinion)...

I pulled up your coding and found two (2) instances of the Title Tag. One up around the opening header tag, the other, directly under the Yoast Plugin comment. I'd be fixing that asap.

rel="shortcut icon" (is used 3x when it should be once)

You have double entries for these too:
meta property="og:image"
meta property="og:url"
meta property="og:title"

Your on-page CSS, is way too BIG... It commences at line # 82 and ends at line # 780.
Albeit having basic in-line css will help with the inital page loading BUT what your using here, needs to be called from an external css file.

I'd be re-checking all my code ;)

Hi Bet4You,

First of all many thanks for your feedback! It's some really valuable feedback.

Okay, I immediately fixed the problem with the duplicate title tag. That occurred because the Yoast SEO plugin added a title tag, while my theme already added their own title tag. Great tip for anyone who uses Yoast (or another SEO plugin), always check your CSS!

The second point you mentioned was the huge in-line CSS. Those lines are mostly from the Revolution slider plugin. They decided to add the CSS into the header instead of an external stylesheet. This was their reaction: "(...)Inline Styling has no negative influence on your HTML result at all, and 100% supported and advised also from WP." I don't like the way they call the css file so it looks like I have to change the css myself, I will do that when I have enough free time.

Thanks Byebyebaby! I like that counter too :) Many casinos have static counters. This counts up when you scroll down and actually see the counter.

The design is not my style exactly, but I can see how it works. The bright colors and cartoon-like style makes my head hurt, but I know it can work because I see many successful sites doing it, including Slotmadness.

I really like the Different Backgrounds on the Slot Games! Especially the Frankenstein one. The bunny one does not fit though.

All in all, great job! I would try to jam in a little more content over time and focus on marketing.

Congrats,

-Jared

Hi Jared!

I apologize for hurting your head hehe :)

My reply is quite late, but I was really busy arranging sponsors, making the location ready etc... for a 3D Printing event I organised with a few other people. The event took place on 15 to 16 June and about 2000 people visited it, it was quite a success!

A little impression of the event

But /ontopic again ;) In the mean time I added a blog to my site. I came to the conclusion that having a blog is one of the most important aspects of a website SEO wise. I'll try to create a small blog post every day and hope my website steadily climbs in the SERPS!

Cheers,

Coen

Three things that you can work on your on-page SEO:
1) on the home page you have 2 H1's
  • <H1>: online slot games
  • <H1>: No Deposit Bonuses
2) On the inner pages (Ex: http://slot-games.net/freeslots/lights-slot-game/) you have no H1 :)

I guess you can modify them from your Wordpress control panel.

3) Your language tag is missing.

Other than that, I really like the design and logo :)

I'm not a huge fan of the color scheme, but I love the buttons, fonts, and logo. They are so clean and crisp! Good work

Hi CasinoKey, glad you like it! I also like the logo a lot, had it professionally made :)

If you can point out which specific colors you dislike, I might change it. I am slightly colorblind (can't see the difference between blue-purple, yellow-orange, and green-brown...)

Thanks!
