I just received an email about website improvements at Inter Casino. When trying to access my affiliate account I am now asked to agree to terms and conditions before I am able to view any statistics.

Have there been any significant changes in the Inter Partners t&c or why is this happening?

I haven't been actively promoting them in a while and I got an email that said if i did not email them within 30 days my account would become inactive. There are also new terms for the UK gambling tax. See below for the exert from the email:

"We have noticed that you have not acquired any new depositing players in over 6 months on account xxxxxxx however, we are keen for you to be more active by promoting InterCasino to new players.

To continue to work with us, contact support @ interpartners . com within 30 days to renew your deal. Should you not do so, it is with regret that your account will become inactive.

Due to recent changes in the UK Gambling (License and Advertising) Act, a tax deduction for UK players of 15% from affiliate net revenue will apply. This will take effect from 1st December 2014 and the Terms and Conditions have been updated to reflect this. Login to interpartners . com to acknowledge the update."

Yes, they are one of the ones with the new 'tax' clause. I'll get alerts out sometime soon - the system just got fixed for me to alert again.

I am still curious if they added or altered any significant terms?

Without the bolded statement, I'd see this email as a general UK compliance issue. However the bolded statement (imo) makes it rather sinister. To me it reads, ff you don't start sending us players, your account will be closed, regardless if your UK compliant or not.

I don't promote these guys BUT if any affiliate signed up when this joint was promising 'lifetime revenue', then that's what an affiliate gets, whether or not they continue to promote the casino or not. Anything else is predatory.

We are currently working with them to get their terms in line with affiliate-friendly terms.

While I no longer promote intercasino, I've always found interpartners to reasonable. How is progress going in relation to the above?

Thank you for the update, Guard Dog.

Inter is a long established brand and one of the first online casino I ever dealt with a long time ago. I am curious how this is going to turn out.

With Amaya out of the picture they seem very keen on becoming affiliate friendly. Give us some time to work on this folks :)

Great news and thanks for the update :)

I like intercasino, always have as a player, just didn't like some of the terms as an affiliate. But now new blood have taken the reins, sounds promising.

I can't remember his name right now but he was very active, years ago on player forums for intercasino. Albeit he's no longer with them but he's the caliber which gave intercasino an excellent name.

I actually like this program been with them a few years, the casino has just had a paint job & it looks much better now so possibly better conversions. The UK tax new terms is fairly transparent & they send an email each month telling how much the deduction will be for previous month. The AM i have now Kobi is really on the ball, i think their based in Israel but they seem to be an exception to the norm on Israeli programs. (Touch wood)

This came in by email today:

Due to new European Union rules on value added tax (VAT) in Germany and Ireland, 19% VAT will be deducted from the Gross Revenue generated by players in these countries. This VAT deduction applies with effect 1 February 2015.

However nice they may be - for a small German webmaster (based on prudent commercial assessment) it makes no sense to continue the promotion when you compute the true revenue share.

If you pass on higher costs to your webmaster to have healthy balance sheets, then it will be a problem in the moment, other programs in similar situation don't follow this path.

Exactly this happen.

A quota has been retroactively implemented along with the updated terms and conditions.

What used to be lifetime revenue share...

Seems most aff programs are just turning the screws tighter - even if it means stripping the thread bear. One word sums this up perfectly, Greed.

The market is ultra competitive. 1/ there are a lot of countries on the ban list and 2/ players have a much wider selection of games on different platforms.

Still, there's no reason to renege on a promise of guaranteed life time revenue.

No - the quota was removed. I will verify again, but they did remove the term and have been working with AGD over the last several months ensuring friendliness.

I think you are right, Guard Dog. I just checked again and it indeed looks like the questionable term has recently been rephrased. It now reads as follows:
v. Your Affiliate Account shall be transferred to default Revshare commission as described on interpartners’ Commission Page if you fail to deliver at least one (1) new player per month for 6 consecutive months.
(affiliates.interpartners.com/terms_and_conditions.asp)

However, this change must have happened only within the last few days as the quota had been in place for weeks since its introduction last December.

Anyway, I will be glad if this turns out as a temporary glitch and appreciate if Inter corrected it again.
