International Targeting - Country (in Google)

  1. Leave it global, it is a global site

  2. Leave it global, even though it favours one or two specific countries

  3. Target one country in Google, even though it is a global site

  4. Target one country in Google, because it favours one or two specific countries

How does everyone work their google settings?

Do you target one specific country or do you leave this setting alone?

I am just a couple of short weeks away from launching (migrating) Slots Guide to it's new home and am toying with the decision on what is the best route. It is a .com now so leave it targeting everywhere or go all out for one particular country?

Decisions decisions... interested to hear how you guys set yours up and the results you have gained/lost from this tactic?

In my opinion it depends on your stats (and goal) - if you migrate (not starting from scratch) you already now where you traffic is coming from. So if is it mainly 1 country, target there. If is it about more countries (or 1 country, but you think you can grow), don't target it specifically.

BTW do you mean like target it in GSC only or in general as an effort (linkbulding, content, etc)
