I just received this bs in my inbox. This is apparently affecting many affiliates.
Inter, what are you thinking? None of this was stipulated in the original terms and conditions:

Dear >snip<,

In an effort to improve the quality and efficiency of our affiliate programme, InterPartners is working on an initiative to identify and try to reactivate affiliate accounts that have been classified as inactive. Specifically, we are targeting affiliate accounts that have had little to no click or referral activity for an extended period of time.

During this process, we have identified a number of accounts based on the established criteria. Your InterPartners account ">snip<" happens to fall under this criteria. If you have any other active accounts with InterPartners, please advise us of the details of this account so that account: ">snip<" can be merged into the active one.

We encourage you to contact us at support@interpartners.com to discuss a reactivation strategy so that we can keep your account active. If we have not heard back from you by the 30th April 2013, your account will be classified as dormant.

As per out terms and conditions “We reserve the right to terminate this agreement if your Affiliate Account becomes dormant. Your Affiliate Account shall be deemed to have become dormant if: (1) you fail to deliver at least one (1) new player per month for 6 consecutive months and/or (2) you generate less than US$50 (or the equivalent in the applicable currency units) in Referral Fees per month for 6 consecutive months …”

The purpose of this initiative is to improve our programme’s performance and raise the quality of our service. We believe that this process will give us added flexibility and will allow us to leverage our resources to better reward our partners.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

InterPartners Affiliate Team

Just a ploy to get affiliates to promote them - they are doing it the wrong way though!

I have an InterCasino review up but I haven't sent them a handful of players over the last couple of years - wouldn't affect me at all if they shut my account :)

Me too.
Since they pulled out of the USA and didn't try to compete with the likes of MG & Rival they became a waste of web-space.

It is a terrible shame to see the way things went for what was the worlds Number 1 internet casino (and my personal favourite too) up until 2006 - but they have only themselves to blame.
Sad :(

Yes, back in the days Inter were doubtlessly one of the very top casino establishments. As they are planning to switch software providers I was intended to promote them again... until today.

It is a shame that they are now deciding to apply retroactive terms and confiscate players after having maintained a very decent reputation for more than a decade.

Inter eventually decided to keep my account open but this email took my trust. Again... There has not been any quota in their terms by the time the account was opened. I also do not see any logical reason to implement this quota at all.

Hi all,

Apologies for the delayed response – I had been speaking to “CygX1” and wanted to sort that out before publically commenting on this thread.

As we said in our original email - we are contacting a handful of affiliates that fell into the criteria of the InterPartners Terms and Conditions stated to discuss a reactivation / rejuvenation strategy. Our goal is always to reactivate rather than terminate accounts.

When looking at the criteria, we checked contact details and website as well as current statistics etc and found in this case that the site we had listed was no longer in existence and the affiliate had no active players (no new traffic since 2009). It is part of our current terms and also those of PartnerLogic, that it is the affiliate’s responsibility for the development, operation and maintenance of their websites.

After discussion via email, the above is to remain open, and a reactivation strategy is to be discussed. This would be the same procedure for any affiliate contacted.

We apologise if the wording of the email has been miss-construed, as I have said each and every affiliate that fell in this category was looked at separately and in great detail. We do not take such communication lightly and definitely do not want to create an air of mistrust about the programme within the affiliate community.

I would welcome any comments, please contact me at katy@interpartners.com

Thanks

Katy

Yes, Katy did contact me. However, I still do not see any term in the Partnerlogic t&c that would permit them closure of accounts due to missing traffic. The Partnerlogic term Katy is referring to is term 3.6. This term merely stipulates that any affiliate is responsible for their website(s) and that Partnerlogic cannot be held accountable for any content or website which is not theirs.

Partnerlogic said:
3.6 Responsibility for Your Site
You will be solely responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of your web site and for all content that appears on your web site, including but not limited to ensuring that all content on your web site complies with all applicable laws. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused or suffered by anyone in connection with your activity, and we disclaim all liability for such loss or damage. Further, you agree to fully indemnify and hold us, ECash Direct and WagerLogic™ and the properties participating in the Affiliate Program harmless from all claims, damages, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, legal fees and expenses) relating to your activity.

Anyway, as Inter intends to keep my account open, I will let this go the time being and will see how their casinos and affiliate program are going to develop over the coming months.

I agree that term 3.6 does not allow closing of accounts for non-traffic.

Katy, is this the term you are relying on, when closing account?

Hi all,

Our goal is and always will be to maintain long-standing and mutually beneficial partnerships with our affiliate base. We endeavour to do what we can to keep our relationships moving forwards. The purpose of this initiative was to try to reactivate affiliate accounts classified as inactive.

As discussed with senior management, we have made the decision that the stated term will apply to affiliates that joined the program post May 2011 and as such agreed to said terms and conditions on registration.

It was never our intention to negate long standing relationships and we are committed to maintaining the trust and integrity of the InterPartners program.

If any of you would like to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to PM me or indeed email me at katy@interpartners.com.

Thanks

Katy

I signed up my account long before 2011 and should have never been sent this email. Actually I was very much looking forward to see the new Playtech Casino and had good trust in your company.
