5 Important Updates for you today.

1. Cashout Limits: It’s my pleasure to inform you that as of next week, we will no longer apply cashout limits to player’s withdrawals. This is great news for players and affiliates.

2. Additional Markets: We can now accept players from the following additional markets:

Colombia
Cyprus
Faroe Islands
Finland
Greece
Slovenia

These markets are now part of our initial markets: UK, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Germany, Ireland

3. Account inactivity – Terms allowing operators to remove consumer funds if consumers don’t access them for a period are no longer permitted.

  1. Consumers are legally entitled to money which they have, deposited in their account, and to winnings made with money they have deposited and gambled, and winnings made from a bonus where the relevant conditions have been met.
  2. Nektan and its partners will avoid applying a sanction for inactivity: there is no duty to bet, and there may be many innocent reasons for non-use (eg illness, travel or a decision not to gamble for a while)
  3. No obvious legitimate justification (eg. accountancy issues)
4. Identity verification – Terms and processes allowing operators to remove consumer funds where a consumer has been unable to meet the operator’s identity verification requirements within a period are not permitted.
  1. Consumers are legally entitled to money which they have deposited in their account, and to winnings made with money they have deposited and gambled
  2. Nektan and its partners need to fulfil anti-money laundering and other regulatory requirements – but although this may justify a delay in payouts, it does not justify confiscation.
5. Upfront Verification: Nektan will be verifying players before they can play. Players will be able to deposit and cashout, but not play until basic verification is done. The aim here is to verify players so that cashouts are faster. We will monitor this closely to make sure we aren't losing players as a result.

Betreels closed my account without notice and accused me of disregarding advertising guidelines.

I received an email from them at the end of January notifying me of the need to make my reviews compliant with UKGC latest guidance. My standard operating procedure when advised of regulatory changes like this is to remove all casino reviews immediately to avoid any transgression of guidelines - I can then rework them offline and republish when ready to go. This is efficient and 100% effective in avoiding issues. However, after telling them this had happened, Betreels closed my account without notice.

Since then they have accused me of having;

"flagrantly disregarded all requests to adhere to the correct advertising guidelines"

A defamatory statement clearly as I complied with the request 100% effectively. Not a great casino anyway, so no great loss, but be warned that this is how they operate. I would strongly recommend that fellow affiliates avoid them.

Bingostarr - not entirely accurate. Nektan closed your affiliate accounts and instructed us not too open them again. The reason they provided was that you were not complying with advertising standards, despite multiple requests. You were informed of this at the time.

There is no benefit to us in closing an affiliate account, especially when generating decent revenue as you did.

It's regrettable that you say we're not a good casino. I know you asked two weeks ago to have your account opened. If it is still the case, we will ask Nektan if they are prepared to review the decision by auditing your site/s.

Please advise.

Hmm as I still receive payments from other Nektan brands, am regularly approached to add new Nektan brands, and have never had any contact from Nektan myself this sounds unlikely.

Also, I did not ask to have my account reopened - I asked to be paid. It was then I discovered you had closed my account without contacting me in February. Quite different.

I don't add new Nektan brands to my sites any more. They are not worth the hassle because in my experience players don't like the product.

Sorry you feel that way. Our records show that we did communicate with you always.

As a listed company on the London stock exchange , Nektan is transparent and adhere to all guidelines and rules by the relevant governing bodies.

We feel that with the changes announced above, Nektan will become a decent platform for players and affiliates over the next few months.

Hi guys,

Hope you are well.

Could you please update your Betreels reviews to reflect that as of today, we no longer have any cashout limits?


Other changes happening today:

  • Inactive and dormant accounts are now classified as being 12 months inactive rather than 6 months.
  • Gamstop T&C’s have been added from 13.8 to 13.8.3 to ensure full advice is given around the Gamstop process
  • Upfront Verification. We now verify players at registration. This means we can attend to cashouts quicker.
  • Support is available in English, Swedish and German

Hi,

Nektan want to do player verification at 1st deposit. I.e. new customers can register and play the 10 free spins and make a deposit, but they won't be able to wager until ID and utility bill are sent in.

We raised concerns about doing it after deposit as it is not a great player experience. Nektan assure us they will be monitoring this closely over the next week or two and will make changes should we see a negative effect.
